24 hrs countdown till repainting car! which color should i choose?

i dont mind.
first off, i would like to say that it was a pain shopping around.
this trusted place with very good quality reputation
quoted me 9k... yeah... thats 9 thousand lol.
most place i took the car to wouldnt even want to do it...
a lot of them seem scared to touch the car.
finally, i called ACURA! i ask them where they send their cars to
for such work, and they said "abra"...
so i shopped around more and finally, a decent place
agreed to do it. yes its abra.
he quoted me $5900 .
that's with changing the front lower bumper, which
the previous owner damaged it pretty bad.
yep, there u have it.

hey guys, just got back from checkint it out.
wow, its all taken apart and it looks soo sad! lol!
so much dust underneath all those panels!
i have a question, do u guys think i should have the
underside of the trunk painted white as well?
what about the area around the rear trunk... along
the outer section of the engine bay... in between the
rear panels.. etc?

Well thats one of the issues with doing a color change. To do it right, you have to paint all those areas.

But like someone else pointed out, to do a correct NSX-R paintjob the engine bay must stay black. Now what exactly stays black and what gets painted, maybe one of the "R" guru's will chime in on that.

BTW, which Abra did you go to?

no i do not actually.
im thinking of just painting the oem wheels white lol.
i dont have the extra $$ to buy the real type-r wheels.
i dont think its going to look very jdm-ish because i am
keeping the 'acura' logo... just switching it red.
its going to be my own hybrid of a type-r look alike... just not exactly like it.
i pretty much have a final image in my head of what i want.. but still...
bracing myself here for the final result in a couple of weeks.

White is a pretty rare color now a days. IMO, resurrect Championship White from the ITR's and CTR's...

wish i had the cash to repaint my car.
black is getting very old very quick - even if you wash it... it looks good for 3 minutes before you can start to see the dust accumulate. and the swirl marks are pissing me off
any other color would hide it much better..... now if i could only afford to get it resprayed

Go with the original. By all means don't do a non-factory color. That is just tacky.

Nice to see Imola orange getting so much love that's a truly awesome color! There's a guy in our local NSX group with one and it's just beautiful.

took a peek at the shop today.
almost done guys... hopefully next week.
was quite dusty too.
exhaust from previous owner will be coming off
when i get it back. just not my taste.
i'll do a photo shoot upon its return.
should be fun.

btw - i've kept the acura logos and emblems, so its a nsx-r poser. lol.
the lady calls it an impostor. she doesnt like it.
