2022 NSX Type S Registry

We need a bump - any latest info on Type S sales locations etc. The Kidd - enjoy this forum. Thanks.

I thought it might be a cool idea to start a thread where we can keep track of the 350 examples of the 2022 NSX Type S. I tried my best to keep track of the 51 Zanardi models and figured maybe we can keep tabs on these too. Sadly those models came out prior to NSX Prime being around so it was obviously harder. I see this as a second chance.

For those of you who don't hop on here frequently, I've been tracking the Zanardi and the NSX Type S on Instagram: NSX.TypeS.Registry

Just post up any information you're willing to share about yourself and the car. Ideally looking for the build number, options, location and anything else pertinent to chronicling the history of the car. Even if you're not an owner, it would be awesome if you can share a link, photos or anything about any of the cars.

Cheers
I have car 269, the car is in Barrington Illinois

I think I noticed your car at the pmc when I visited, not too many gloss black cars where on the finishing line with silver calipers...

well as a bump , I was compelled to change the oil at 5k miles, with the "brain" telling us I was at 50% oil life....The original oil must be a willy Wonka formulation. Also rear oem tires are at 3-4/32...

#142 Gotham Grey with Red leather/Alcantara, Light weight package and Shark Grey wheels. October 24 - Just got the oil changed at 2500 miles - mostly due to time. That's awesome, Colin.
See you at NSXPO Texas in a couple of weeks!

All of the Type-S press cars appeared to have 000 as their number. And there were multiple colors of these press cars so I know they were not all the same car that I was seeing. Thus there must be more than 351 that were truly made.

Correct but there were only 350 cars sold. In other words, a production of 350 cars. I’m sure there were many prototypes too. I do happen to have a list of press cars and their VINs. None of them count towards the production numbers.

started the S today to charge the Lio battery and after sitting for about 7 weeks , nice to see the charge indicator still near upper end, meaning I'm less inclined to worry about the high-volt system

Glad to hear - I keep mine on the acura NSX trickle charger and experienced the same thing, but luckily Texas weather allows me to take out at least once a month, Enjoy.

I just started my S a couple days ago. The car had been sitting for about 3 months. Love how quickly the Li-Ion battery pack started the car as if had there had been no downtime at all!

I could not detect any change whatsoever in the the charge indicator. It was about 90% on the gauge 3 months ago and when I recently started it it showed the same. If there was a change over time, it was too small to detect without having a picture to compare against.

How important is Honda's warning to periodically start the car to avoid battery damage? I always assumed this was due to the charge slowly drifting lower over time and eventually reaching nearly 0% which can damage Li-Ion cells if left in this state for a long period of time. But if the battery was at close to 100% before being stored, I don't see why this would ever be an issue unless the car was stored for many years without being started.

So does Honda's warning assume a worst case scenario of storing the car with only 10% charge on it, and thus this doesn't apply when the charge is close to 100%? Or is there something else that running the engine periodically does to help the battery's longevity? My guess is Honda is just covering their ass by being overly cautious with their recommendation.

My thought exactly they have to account for folks driving in sport or quiet and not paying attention to charge level.
