2022 NSX Type S Registry

Time for the Thursday night thrilla in the form of 130R color machine, #025, 19UNC1B00NY000025. This unique Type S is one of 16 from the 330 documented cars with iron rotors. In time we'll hopefully determine what cars have which rotor type. My guess is iron is picked to keep tracking cars low. For me, give me the carbon ceramic rotors...with the weight of this car...its worth it (come on haters give us your opinions). #025 was ordered by Goodson Acura of Dallas and delivered to the dealership on March 24th, 2022. In addition, this car was paired with the Orchid black and white seat option and Berlina Black Gloss wheels over red calipers. Some may not know, but red calipers are the only color available with iron rotors. Another option delete option is XM roof antenna. Estimated MSRP comes in at $172,995. Not the cheapest NSX Type S with two others that is lower (due to the upgraded wheel choice), #10 and #210. Enjoy the pictures from @HondaF1, Adam Lee Williams showing #025 at the dealership and the very cool collectible NSX coffee cup!

Next up is another Gotham Gray Matte Type S, #032, 19UNC1B08NY000032. Originally ordered from Oakland Acura, this car was found at @sunsetwrapworks located in Las Vegas, Nevada (stills from video clips courtesy of Sunset Wrap Works) and pro-level photos by @edenhitzke, Eden Hitzke, from San Luis Obispo, California. There are several interesting points on this car. Notably the upgraded wheels from the stock Berlina Black Gloss rims. This is another configuration without the XM radio option. This car was ordered with the lightweight package, red calipers and red leather seats with black Alcantara inserts. Estimated MSRP is $191,995.

I chose the iron rotors because I didn't want a super expensive brake job down the road. If I do a track day, it won't be super aggressive either. I'm not sure I made the right decision, but that was the thinking. I do drive it a lot, so a brake job isn't out of the question at some point. #97

Friday night follies are here....well I am just absolutely confused. I couldn't holdoff on posting this next car. It was first seen at the ordering dealer, Hoehn Acura in October 2022. No clue if it was sold. However, it was produced in June of 2022 and arrived at the dealership in July 2022. It was listed for sale every month until December 2022. According to CARFAX, the car was sold December 12th, 2022, and registered in Hawaii the same day...Huh? Then I lost track of it until day. WHAM! It just showed up at Oh Acura of Temecula with only 6 miles on the clock and oh by the way at another Acura dealership in an adjacent city 36 miles away (see attached pic). Listed for $324,000, car #157, 19UNC1B06NY000157 is fully loaded with full ebony leather seats, lightweight package, Berlina Black Gloss wheels over red calipers and the XM radio option. Estimated MSRP is $187,495. Nice car, strange history.

Here's another head scratcher (for me). Canada has another NSX Type S for sale today. It's not exactly new and has traveled 458KM or ~284 miles to date. Car #161, 19UNC1B08NY000161 is again (more on this later) available at "Acura On Brant" in Burlington, Ontario. This Type S was originally sold new at Baierl Acura and arrived at the dealership in July 2022. Move the clock forward, public record shows this car was previously listed at the current dealership in January 2023 and then it moved to Mazda of Hamilton of Ontario in September and October 2023. Well, here it is again back at Acura On Brant. This one caught my eye because of the iron rotors. What's different is this car was clearly configured for show and go not just price. Painted in Thermal Orange Pearl, #161 is nicely optioned with full ebony leather seats, the upgraded Berlina Black Gloss wheels and given the 2nd half production has the XM radio antenna and Alcantara covered instrument cluster hoodie. Estimated MSRP comes in at $175,495.

First photos of car #040, 19UNC1B07NY000040, showed up on social media back at the dealership, Pohanka Acura on April 11, 2022, then again on June 23rd, 2022, and finally in a video at the very same dealership on July 20th, 2022. There is no sales record publicly available so far. In other words, this looks like another dealer owner purchase. This is one of two Type S NSXs allocated to Pohanka Acura, the other is car #201 in GGM. This one was delivery around the second week of March 2022. Ordered in Berlina Black, this car also has matching-colored wheels, red calipers and the popular lightweight package. Seats are covered in ebony leather with black Alcantara inserts and due to its early build, it has the carbon fiber instrument cover. #040 was configured with the Technology package with XM radio. Estimated MSRP is $186,495.

Next off the production line, literally is car #041, 19UNC1B09NY000041 painted in Long Beach Blue Pearl. LBBP is the second most popular color for the NSX Type S. There are currently 46 LBBPs NSX Type S being tracked. Delivered new to Finley Acura the last week in March of 2022, this car is known to have the extended 8-year warranty, nice. The owner picked a full complement of option upgrades including the lightweight and technology package, red calipers, Berlina Black gloss rims and ebony semi-aniline leather with Alcantara inserts power sports seats. This one also has the carbon fiber instrument cluster dash cover. Estimated MSRP comes in at $186,995.

Looking at the 5 corporate cars. Any chance that #350 corporate car was the one that was given to the F1 driver Max Verstappen? Except the pictures in this article show his car is right hand drive and the silver Honda badge - so he must have one of the Japanese cars.

Also saw that Joe Burrow - the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals has a GG - wonder what car number he has. Don't think his was a corporate - just one he purchased.

Car #350 is a US left hand Acura car. Max’s is a right hand drive Honda JDM car. We do know that 345 cars were allocated to customers through the dealerships. 5 were “corporate” allocations. We don’t know which of the 350 are the latter. I have guesses on 4 of the five. (Update: see post below on ownership of #350)

Don't have much background on car #074,19UNC1B02NY000074. It's the second car ordered by Acura of Las Vegas. Painted in the very popular Long Beach Blue Pearl, the new owner can be seen at PMC with our friend John Watt. Zooming in to the interior photo, you can see the tall tale sign of the lightweight package showing the carbon fiber instrument cluster hoodie. We're getting close to the seeing the last of the CF dash covers off the production line. The last confirmed car in the registry with it is #091. You can see through the windshield, the brightly colored red seats covered in full leather. On the outside, is matching red calipers wrapped in Berlina Black gloss wheels. It should also be noted, this car is one of the few without the XM radio option. The last car in the registry without the roof antenna is car #136. Estimated MSRP is $187,995.

Thats my car lol

Time for another earlier build and a very unique update. I am constantly trying to connect views of the NSX Type S from different sources and perspectives. Priority is first given to pictures of these cars on delivery to the dealership, with the new owners and then out in the open (car events, professional level photos, etc..). However, the prized photos are those at PMC, the birthplace of the NSX Type S. Pictured here is #007, 19UNC1B09NY000007, (que the James Bond theme music!). Painted in the frosty Casino White Pearl, #007 was received at Duval Acura dealership in March of 2022. Most of the "unpacking" pictures at the dealership are courtesy of @19nc1nsx via @the_unofficial_nsx_registry. However, the lower corner photo is a picture posted by our own @The Kid on social media back on February 23, 2022. Why is it here? Because the lead car is highly suspected to be #007. There is only one car painted in Casino White Pearl and with silver calibers in the first couple of months of production. Also of interest, this car was not ordered with the light-weight package even though it has the CC rotors. You can see the steering wheel is missing the CF accents and the CF instrument hoodie, indicating the lack of the CF interior sport package, normally included with the lightweight package. But it does have XM radio option, Shark Gray Matte wheels and full leather Ebony seats. Estimated MSRP $184,595.

Here's another special update. Finally, I was able to confirm two bits of missing information for car #350, 19UNC1B06NY000305, the interior configuration and the story on the owner. The rumor heard early on was the owner is an executive and owned a Hondajet. This could not have been any further from the truth. This week, I tripped over a blog at Haggerty.com that lead me to an article by Cam VanDerHorst at https://carguychronicles.com. The story gives insight on how #350 was allocated, the connection to the Hondajet, first-generation NSX ownership and active use of this car. (click on this link and give it a read) I was able to confirm this car was ordered by Gettel Acura and arrived on 11/26/22. This car was fully loaded with all the options including full leather Ebony seats, lightweight package, red calipers, XM radio, and Shark Gray Matte wheels. And confirmed by the lower left side photo showing #350 at a Sarasota Café Racers lunch, the Alcantara instrument hood. Estimated MSRP comes in at $191,995.

Update on posting #368. The rumor is car #030, 19UNC1B04NY000030 belongs to Takuma Sato @takumasato_official! This car was delivered to Courtesy Acura in Lexington, Kentucky. Notably, Takuma pinnacle race wins for Honda came not once but twice at the Indy 500 back in 2017 and again in 2020. He competed in Formula One from 2002 to 2008 for the Honda-powered Jordan, BAR and Super Aguri teams, scoring 44 points overall, and a single podium which was at the 2004 United States Grand Prix....NICE! His NSX Type S is painted in Long Beach Blue Pearl, has the lightweight package with black calipers and Shark Gray Matte wheels. The seats are covered in the tuxedo style Orchid color option. As you can see in the photos, there is no XM radio antenna, making this one of the few cars with the smooth CF roof line. #030 came off the production line in late January 2022 and was sold on February 16th 2022 with the MSRP of $185,495.

There was a time in 2023 were there was a flood of cars hitting the market, coinciding with one year of ownership and it seemed the only registry postings were those up for sale. I am not surprised this car wasn't posted earlier because the only information I had on it was when it was listed by McLaren of San Francisco in July 2023. At that time, it had 5030 miles on the clock. It is known #021, 19UNC1B03NY000021 was originally delivered to Fresno Acura and was the second Berlina Black Type S to come off the production line. Configuration was at the lower end of the spectrum with the only upgrades from the base configuration being the Berlina Black Gloss wheels and the XM radio. With that, it was ordered with ebony leather seats with Alcantara inserts, iron rotors (and the red calipers). Estimated MSRP comes in at $173,495.

Last seen on for sale by Exotic Motorsports of Oklahoma on Ebay in early January 2024 after traveling 2929 miles. #022, 19UNC1B05NY000022 was ordered by Naples Acura in the limited Gotham Gray Matte Metallic paint. Videos were posted showing not only arrival at the dealership but delivery to the first owner. Subsequently, the owner embarked on a whole host of modifications and upgrades:
Carbon Fiber Interior Kit
Redstar Downpipes
RedStar Titanium Exhaust
Full body Matte PPF
Tinted PPF on Headlights, Taillights and Signal Markers
JB4 Tune Box
HRE Wheels with PS4S Tires
Lumar IRX Window Tint on Back Glass and Windshield
Sprint Booster
Eibach Lowering Springs
All OEM parts were included in the sale (see attached photo). In addition, #022 was configured majority of the available upgrades sans the XM radio. Before the wheel upgrade, this car came with the Berlina Black Gloss wheels and the lightweight package with red calipers. This was the 5th GGM painted car off the assembly line. Estimated MSRP is $192,995 plus about $41,000 in aftermarket upgrades. Wow!

Progress update on the Registry. 150 photo montages and description/backgrounds have been posted to date on this thread. There are 76 more cars that are generally ready to post but, in most cases, requires some additional background information and confirmation of source. These will be posted as time permits. This leaves about 40 cars where there's a partial set of photos (usually lacks an interior shot, a wheel/brake shot or a photo of the car number on the engine cover.) That means we have 84 cars of the 350 with no photos. Not counting the JDM cars, there still remains about 12 cars missing configuration information (seat color, wheel color, caliper color, etc...). If anyone is looking for a car you can search this thread by the car number (i.e. "#017" or "#201"). Be sure to have the "#" and 3 digits, don't drop the preceding 0's and use the search "This thread" option. You can also search on the VIN number if you know it.

Until recently, car #121, 19UNC1B07NY000121, only had a shot or two in Coggin Acura showroom floor. I found a video by @theandyrobler0, Andy Roblero when the Casino White Pearl NSX Type S arrived at the dealership on July 22, 2022. Most of the photos are captured from that video. This car has the full complement of options: lightweight package, full red leather seats, Shark Gray Matte rims wrapped around red calipers and XM radio. An interior shot confirmed an Alcantara instrument visor. Estimated MSRP came in at $186,995. Production is sometime late in June 2022 and was the 18th Casino White Pearl off the production line.

Here's a car that's been heavily covered on social media and belongs to a previous gen1 owner, @jhaepfenning. #130, 19UNC1B08NY000130 is shown in its OEM form but since has had many upgrades and graphics addons. Jhae can be found on YouTube taking possession of his new Type S at Acura of Tempe. Photo credits go to AJ @ajshipit.photo. Is it a coincidence the car number and the color code match, 130R White? Interior is quite the opposite. The seats are wrapped in full Ebony leather. Jhae optioned for the lightweight package, Shark Gray Matte wheels with red calipers. Do note that it is one of few without the XM radio option. By my estimate, about 80 cars were able to get the smooth roofline. This includes the JDM cars. The last car built w/o the XM antenna was car #150. This was the 14th of 33 130Rs off the production line. Estimated MSRP is $185,495.

The first image of #229, 19UNC1B05NY000229, depicts this Berlina Black Type S in the foreground of the New York skyline. Built in early September 2022, #229 was ordered through the Acura of Brooklyn dealership. This is one of only 16 cars known to be ordered with iron rotors. There are still some JDM cars with unknown configurations (as of this writing) that may drive this number up by a half a dozen or more. As many of the readers that frequent this thread already may know, Acura made the decision to utilize parts on hand and because of supply chain constraints (due to COVID), many options were not available depending on when the car entered production. For example, all cars were built with the CF Engine cover regardless of whether it was ordered with or with the lightweight package or the interior CF sport package. That is the case for #229. In addition, the XM radio was mandated due to the lack of CF roofs w/o the mounting hole. The owner indicated both the XM radio and CF engine cover came at no charge. The instrument dash hood is covered with black Alcantara with red stitching. The interior shot is courtesy of EuroBoutique Carbon Fiber Motorsports showing extensive use of their carbon fiber bits. As with all iron rotor based cars, the calipers only come in bright Red. The new owner optioned for the standard Shark Gray Matte wheels. Seats are covered in full red leather. Jody Gore @undertheradar229 posted the remaining photos. Estimated MSRP comes in at $173,745.

Time for another Andaro paint job. Personally, I just love this paint. The secret behind the depth in this paint comes from "tinted clearcoat followed by several more layers of clearcoat. There's an in-depth article by honda-tech.com and Cameron Aubernon showing the entire painting process at PMC. Just checkout the layers of paint in this photo from the article:

The picture on the right shows the level of detail PMC took for the NSX with the use of a "buck" to orient the car panels as they mount on the chassis to ensure continuity of paint and metallics between the parts. Hit the embedded link above to learn more. Moving on to car #174, 19UNC1B06NY000174, it is painted in the fabulous Valencia Red Pearl and was caught on video by the dealership, Gettel Acura. Video and still photos were posted by Gettel Acura back on September 6th and 2nd, respectively. Of the 10 colors available, VRP is the 6th most popular with a total of 31 counted of the 350 cars. Zoom into the lower left photo in the montage and you'll see the red leather with black Alcantar seats. #174 is one of 35 cars with black calipers. The blacked out wheels are completed with the Berlina Black Gloss rims. This car was ordered with the lightweight package, and the XM radio option. Estimated MSRP is $190,500.
