You've seen dad's car. Now it time for the son's, Graham Rahal's #277, 19UNC1B05NY000277. This is the second Novelle Blue Pearl car for Graham after owning a 2017 NSX #055, 19UNC1B03HY000055 (see attached after Graham drove nearly 1000 miles over 2 days, including @grahamrahalperformance customer trackday back in June 2018. This is how he summed up the NSX, "This @Acura#NSX always blows my mind. Docile freeway machine, turned track animal in the twist of a knob. It’s the ultimate everyday supercar perfected by @grahamrahalperformance! Averaged 24.8 mpg, not bad for a 500+ HP monster 💪🏻🔥." As many of you know, Graham is an American race car driver and small business owner of GRP. He currently participates in the IndyCar Series with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, a team partially owned by his father Bobby Rahal. Like many of us, Graham took the time to visit PMC and take the factory tour to see his new ride, the NSX Type S. #277's options are full red leather seats, the lightweight package (of course), Shark Gray Matte wheels over red calipers and the XM radio technology package. Order from none other than Bobby Rahal Acura and built mid October 2022. Estimated MSPR was $191,995.

This car was first seen on this thread back on Post #378. Car #078, 19UNC1B0XNY000078, belongs to a very dedicated Honda/Acura owner. Some of the NSX old timers and those that have gone to the last couple of NSXPOs, may know Duy, @imdbui, or how he refers to himself as the "An equal opportunity enthusiast... Gas. Diesel. Hybrid. EV." Just take a look at the top center photo. You'll see as @acuraconnected put it, "Acura collection: Thermal Orange NC1 NSX, Long Beach Blue NSX Type S, and matching PMC RDXs!" A three time NSX owner, DB has a mint 1991 NSX, a 2019 NC1 #205 and now a 2022 Long Beach Blue Pearl, NSX Type S. Glad to see another allocation go to a great supporter of the brand. This ride has the following options: Orchid leather with black Alcantara inserts seats, the lightweight package, Shark Gray Matte wheels over red calipers and the rarer combination of no XM radio antenna bump and the carbon fiber dash visor. The car was built late in March 2022. Go over to Instagram and checkout DB's NSX Experience trip to PMC. The videos were a great reminder of what I saw/experienced myself when we went earlier in the year. Estimated MSRP is $185,495.

I have to say Nouvelle Blue is my favorite NC1 color- it makes the car look so exotic and rare.

We've got another two generation NSX owner. #083, 19UNC1B03NY000083, belongs to Art @gfunk.nsx. He also owns a super clean original Berlina Black 2004 NSX-T. I first ran across this Type S when viewing a video where American Wrap Co. corrected the paint and fully PPFed it. And again, when I saw one of the view postings of those that documented receiving the custom, numbers matching pen from Acura and Eagle Pen Company. #083 was manufactured at PMC at the end of March. Art ordered his ride at Valencia Acura in Long Beach Blue Pearl, full ebony leather seats, lightweight package, and Shark Gray Matte wheels. Of the 287 caliper color's discovered so far, this car is one of only 33 with black calipers. The third rarest color behind Silver and Orange. The estimated MSRP for this little beauty is $186,995. Oh, and I forgot to mention, its hard to see but this car does have the instrument CF visor. (update: added interior shot)

Another multi-NSX owner just found behind car #069, 19UNC1B09NY000069, Mike. His first jump into the deep end of the Acura pool was an NC1 130R White (2017 or 2018) NSX. Mike documented his modifications and build with this car that included new exhaust systems, Brixton aftermarket wheels, and painting of the upper stainless steel front grill trim to match the 130R white to name a few changes. Then after 2 years he let it go. Two years later and with the help of Sunnyside Acura, he landed a Type S allocation. Built in mid-March 2022, #069 was painted in the premium $6000 Andaro Valencia Red Pearl upgrade. This was the 5th VRP to come off the production line out of 31 cars painted the same color. This car was also optioned with Orchid leather with black Alcantara insert seats, lightweight package, Berlina Black Gloss wheels over silver calipers, and no XM technology package (those last two, again are rarer selections).(y) Estimated MSRP is $191,995. Can't wait to see if this car gets the same treatment on upgrades. For me, the 600HP is plenty but I see the need for more speed. Pictures courtesy of Sunnyside Acura and Mike @car_issues_.

Today's car resides in Ohio not far from where it was built last May 2022. #127, 19UNC1B08NY000127, is painted in Gotham Gray Matte Metallic. Many have the opinion this paint is hard keep looking good. I had the same thoughts when I owned a car painted in Suzuka Gray Matte too. However, almost immediately, I thought why not PPF the car in a clear matte material. Now this was in 2012 before a satin wrap was readily available (at least in my area). I owned that car for many years and it was one of the easiest cars to clean. With one exception, sometimes greasy road crime would leave a slight stain behind the wheels. It was really only noticeable because of the light color and if you got down close to the bottom of the fender. Truthful, I actually drove that car more often because how robust the satin wrap was on that car. The owner of #127 took their car to Esoteric Detailing, a pretty amazing shop and did a full clear satin wrap. Looks great and if its anything like I experienced, it will be a low maintenance cleaning job and stains won't show (lucky dog). Besides catching photos (credit) by Estoteric, there was a Columbus Cars and Coffee event held months later at Estoteric. We have additional photos of the car and the production number by @antoniio.r. Ordered at Bob Howard Acura, this car came with the red leather/black Alcantara seats, the lightweight package (w/Alcantara dash visor), Berlina Black Gloss wheels over red calipers and the XM radio technology package. The estimated MSRP is $192,495.

End of day update on the next car that caught my attention some time ago, but I needed to first find more pictures and wait for the numerous upgrades to be complete (so far anyways). This one is for you @Ignition_Key. Wow what a build. The aftermarket wheels are amazing. I've always loved silver wheels on the NSX and have said many times before, if I get the opportunity to buy a 2nd set of Type S OEM wheels, I'll will get them and powdercoat 'em matte silver! Before #231, 19UNC1B03NY000231, even left the dealership, Maus Acura of North Tampa, the wheels were replaced before the car left the showroom! Ignition_Key had pre preordered the wheels from MITA (Japan). But....a shot of the fully original configuration just happened to be immortalized by the dealership (see left pic 2nd from the top). Since then, Pride did the install, but he opted for RedStar Downpipes and Exhaust. (Lookout for the video for an amazing symphony of ICE sound), 130R White color matching charged pipes, carbon intake manifold (painted custom Curva red to match the calipers) and H&R springs. This was the 19th 130R White car off the production line in September 2022. Options ordered were full red leather seats, the lightweight package, Shark Gray Matte wheels over red calipers and the XM radio technology upgrade. Estimated MSRP is $185,995. I was told some interior changes are coming too. Can't wait to see. o_O

Located another early production build. As we've seen before, it appears colors were grouped where possible in the production line. Car #008, 19UNC1B00NY000008, preceded Bobby Rahal's Curva Red Type S and was the first Curva Red car off the production line. The only difference between these cars is the interior option, ebony leather/Alcantara seats versus full leather. Both have the Berlina Black Gloss wheels over the popular red caliper options. Both have the lightweight package, XM radio technology option and the carbon fiber instrument dash visor. Photo's taken by Mungenast St. Louis Acura on February 25, 2022 and Adam Callender @adam_ctr. Estimated MSRP is $186,495.

Similar to car #008, #054, 19UNC1B07NY000054, was the first of a pair of Casino White Pearl cars to come off the manufacturing line at PMC back in earlier March 2022. The other, car #055, does not yet have a complete photo-documentary yet to post here. Until then, this car was delivered new to Criswell Acura in Annapolis. They did a nice job of documenting the delivery on their Facebook page (photo credit) and is the theme for this photo montage. It was a gloomy and wet day back on April 8th, 2022. The closeup of the wheel shot shows it dripping with rain. As the protective shipping cover was pulled back, the upgraded paint option was revealed with its gleaming metallic white color. Anyone wanting a silvery color, would have chosen this option since a silver metallic color was not available for the Type S. #054 was configured with the full array of upgrades including the lightweight package, the Berlina Black Gloss wheels over the carbon ceramic rotors wrapped with red calipers, full red leather seats, and XM radio technology package. There is also a nice walkaround video by Home_Kar Network. Estimated MSRP is $188,495.

For this evening, we had a real mystery to solve. Here's the background. Many times, the data available on these cars are not so reliable or consistent but we do the best we can. I've written up an introduction in the NSX Type S library tracker speaking to many examples. From the beginning, the tracker was based on a disclaimer implying accuracy improves as we collect more data. Such is the case with car #023, 19UNC1B07NY000023. Initially, the tracker showed it was sold at Acura of Columbus. Which still may be true, however, it was definitely not the first selling dealership. Scouring the internet, you'll find pictures and claims that a certain Long Beach Blue Pearl car is #027 and resided at Lindsay Acura. Below is one of the posted photos. I've taken the liberty of blowing up the corner of the image where you can see part of a logo through a walkway. Then I overlaid a semitransparent "Lindsay" and "Acura" logos so you can see definitely see that indeed this is the showroom of Lindsay Acura. In addition, I confirmed the floor tile pattern matches known picture in the same dealership (it has a distinctive black diamond inlay).

1680140495577.png

Okay, now what? Here's the problem. This car is claimed to be #027. I already have 100% confirmation and photos of a Curva Red car with the production number plate "027 of 350" and the same car showing the dealer promotional license plate (Ed Martin Acura) which correlates to other data points. So what car is this? Lindsay is shown to have ordered car #003. Coincidently, it is almost exactly the same as this car with one distinction, the wheels are Berlina Black Gloss. So, poking around, I found that car #023 has this exact configuration of the car pictured and was PDI'ed on 2/14/22 and delivered on 2/28/22. There's no way this is car #003. It was delivered and sold nearly 2 months before. So, I dug further and found the initial sales record listed the dealership ID as 251348 or Lindsay Acura. Without a doubt the car in the montage and photos captured by Jason @hondaprojason on March 15th, 2022, is car #023, 19UNC1B07NY000023. I am working to get a shot of the production plate. When I do, it will be included in the photo montage. The estimated MSRP is $185,995.

Nice to see without black wheels. Hoping the current fad goes away sooner than later! 😣

#047, 19UNC1B0XNY000047 has come back to the market at McLaren Philidelphia. This car was posted early on the registry here. It now has 3819 miles on the clock and priced at $239,995.

It's funny how both McLaren and Ferrari have both focused on the resale of the NC1 NSX Type S. We have seen 5 or 6 of these supercar brands taken a liking to the special Acura.

I would think they were traded in...meaning some early msrp buyers decided to use that type S equity to trade up...

I'm happy to have a certified dealer 18 miles down the road...I'm also happy to have a modern hybrid supercar that was built with talented folks in a beautiful factory, and designed well below the max duty cycle.

Friday night Follies! Found another early build, #012, 19UNC1B02NY000012. This particular build caught my eye when the owner brought in Dollar Detailing for a supercar bubble bath cleaning. Jacob Bach @DollarDetailing provided a couple of artistic shots while the detailing crew gave the Valencia Red Pearl paint a wash. #012 has also been seen and photographed by Grayson @grayson158.2 at some car events and a gathering at someone's house. You can clearly see it is one of the few with iron rotors (and red calipers by default) surrounded by Berlina Black Gloss wheels. This car was ordered and purchased at Leith Acura. I believe it has a full red leather seat option and one can also see the XM radio technology upgrade in the photos of the roof. Production was of course back in January 2022. Look closely and you'll see a very cool personalized license plate.

Yippee its March 31! 🥳 How about we look at car #335, 19UNC1B06NY800005. This car was the fifth Type S built for Canada (note the "8" in the VIN code) and one of five Gotham Gray Matte Metallic allocated to the region. Recall the allocation for Canada had VINs from 800001 to 800015 correlating to production builds from #331 to #345. #335 was delivered new to Southview Acura. The owner, almost immediately put it up on private sale. I discovered a video of it arriving at the dealership, getting unwrapped (credit to the dealership for the stills from the video) and subsequently captured by Hunter @hunterjduncan on the showroom floor. As with all the Canadian cars, this build was fully loaded with the lightweight packages, Berlina Black Gloss wheels, red calipers and red leather/black Alcantara insert seats. XM radio and CF dash visor were visually confirmed in a March 19th, 2022 video posted in TikTok.

Tonight's NSX Type S, #018, 19UNC1B03NY000018, arrived at Crown Acura early February 2022. You can still see snow under the parking lot lights while #018 was pulled off the transport truck in the factory protective wrap on its way to a garage bay at the dealership. Seems this car sat on the showroom floor for short period before it was delivered (or sold) to the current owner. Fortunately, they waited for the paint to cure before taking it to Esoteric Detail for a full PPF wrapping in May 2022. According to the Todd Cooperider, Founder and Detailing Enthusiast, this was the first of 6 Type S' they have provided protective services that year. This car has the distinction of being the first Berlina Black car off the production line and "Triple Black" at that (paint, interior and wheels, LOL). The next one was car #021, coincidently, is also a triple black car except it has leather/Alcantara seats. My notes also indicate this car did spend time up on Ebay as well, curious. It was fully loaded with ebony leather seats, lightweight package, Berlina Black Gloss wheels over red calipers and XM radio technology package. You can also see in the interior photo; this car has the CF dash visor. Photos by Crown Acura and the finished one in the upper left is courtesy of Esoteric Detail.

I am sure there are many of you are waiting with bated breath for the next photo discovery of the very rare NSX Type S. 😱 🙄 Today, we have car number 025,19UNC1B00NY000025. This car arrived at Goodson Acura of Dallas in March 2022. It is also one of the few cars configured with iron rotors. This is the second 130R White car assembled in late January 2022 to come off the production line. The first being car #010. This white automotive paint color is a formulation used between 2017 and 2023, primarily by Acura and named after the infamous corner at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan. According to David Tremayne, Hall of Fame F1 Journalist, "Suzuka's 130R, so named because of its metric radius, is a left-hander that follows a long drag from the Spoon Curve and is approached at close to 320 km/h in eighth gear. In its heyday in the 80s and 90s it was a very fast and bumpy test of a driver’s mettle, the scene of some very committed and dramatic overtaking, and regularly bit the unwary. Following Allan McNish’s hefty accident in 2002, it was modified with a tarmac run-off area and like Eau Rouge is now generally taken flat in today’s high-downforce F1 cars, though absolute precision is still as essential as a heavy right foot." Adding to this mystique is the Orchid (white) leather with black Alcantara insert seats (you can clearly see through the windshield), no XM radio technology upgrade but it was optioned with Berlina Black Gloss wheels surrounding the bright red brake calipers. Estimated MSRP is the low, low price of $172,995. Photo and video credit goes to Adam @HondaF1.
