It's really hard to see anything on a white car in pictures, but the car looks good from what I can tell. You gotta be real careful with white, because it's much harder to see a crappy paint job on a white car than any other color. I have never seen a drooping headliner in all the NSX's I've...
I run 17x8 and 18x10 Volk GT-P's with 215/40/17 and 265/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza S02 Pole Positions. I am very happy with this wheel and tire setup and did my fair share of research on the subject before buying. The rear tires do not look stretched on the 10" rim as everyone had warned. It...
There are instructions in the owner's manual. You need to get a long screwdriver to loosen a screw that is underneath the light assembly. Find the hole for this from the underside of the upper portion of the bumper cover. Then, the light just pops out and you turn the light harness plug out of...
I vote for either: NSXZ03_08.jpg or NSXZ02_14.jpg for your avatar. Love the rear quarter shots of the car.
btw,
how did you take the pictures? have a photographer friend?
Supra prices have soared since the FnF came out. For example, a 1998 TT recently sold for almost $43k at wholesale auction! That is about $4k over what they went for new in 1998!
I think we see many more rude bimmer drivers because there are many more bimmers. If there were as many NSX's as Bimmers, there would appear to be more bad NSX drivers too. Also, maybe its because BMW owners know that they can easily replace there cars if wrecked with a better or cleaner one...
Was that before or after you asked them to "Put double v6 engine which one in the middle the other one in front, maybe you can add one more in the back."
Isn't that exactly what happened that got bridgestone/firestone and Ford into so much trouble with the Explorer? What kind of Bridgestone's do you have? I didn't know that I would have to worry about "tread separation" on a S02!
Litesokneecough,
I would pick up Jimmy's car if I were you. he is asking a very reasonable price for the car. I haven't actually seen it myself, but I have met him several times and find him to be very straight forward and honest. He is also a true fan of the car and it sounds and looks really...
hahahahaha!
I'm sorry, but this thread is ridiculous. how do you figure that NSX is everywhere in Japan when they sell less than 100 a year there?
Liao,
Please read your last post again and explain what the hell you are trying to say. Especially this:
"(2) what can I do If I live in north...
Wow! Do you have any of the "before" repair pics? That's about the most severe damage that I have heard of on a NSX. Sounds like it should have been salvaged. How did it end up at the dealers?
Volk GT-P
17x8 215/40/17 Bridgestone S02 PP
18x10 265/35/18 Bridgestone S02 PP
I am very happy with this setup. No TCS/ABS issues. Sits flush with fenders. I also think the tires fit nicely contrary to what many people fell about 265's on 18's.
After looking at these pics for a while, I figured out what is wrong with this car. It's the pointed nose in the front. Imagine the same car with out the hump extruded from the front bumper and I think it looks much better.
I'll let you guys know of a real "once in a lifetime" deal that I missed a couple of months ago. I was kicking myself for weeks because I actually let the guy who bought the car know that it was at the auction. I didn't know, but the car was listed for sale through an online dealer's auction...
Yeah, I saw that one advertised, too. I think that's a good price. I almost called him myself. If it is fairly clean and doesn't have major damage history, that's a pretty low price for a 98.
If I could pick up clean cars consistently at 1/3 of market value, I would be in a much better position financially according to "The Millionaire Next Door". With a $33,500 1997 NSX, a dealer stands to make $20+k in profit on the sale alone. I'd only have to sell one every other month and...
Todd,
You stole that car!
American Honda has not sold any 97 NSX at any auction since the one that I purchased almost a year ago and is now being driven by someone on this list, and it's not me, might I add!
