Thought I'd resurrect this thread back to the top.....just so I can make it a 4some comparison advice = comparing the NSX to an S2K, Viper, 996 and the GN.:rolleyes:
Now I was just trying to be the "nice" guy with my post.....knowing well that its likely others on prime would let him have it :smile: and I was right!!
Would be interested in what the PPI finds. With no records, risks are that not much of the expensive stuff (TB/WP?hoses) was done if any. Use this site for feedback...I've got a bad feeling about this car.:eek:
Enjoy the weekend lads and lassies. Did Long Beach and the ALMS race, pits and driver/owner chats were the best....IndyCar race a bit of a letdown, again :frown::frown:
911, if you find a NSX of interest, get the VIN and search this forum as well as google it. Chances are something will show but not always. NSXprime members are located all over the country and even overseas. Save the flight cost and ask on this site if someone lives in the area where the car is...
911, welcome to the NSX board and to your 1st official post, and, where you will find some sound advise and great members with a wealth of information. The short clip video tells it all. This is a classic scam as seen by the link below the short clip.
If you are serious about getting an NSX at...
Yup...I'm always concerned about where I take and park my car. Both have ZERO door dings and I like it that way. Going on a cruise today to a winery, know exactly where to park my car. There a just too many folks out there who do not care. And that little old lady from Pasadena who opens the...
Tim, your speak "poetry". We are on the same boat, going down the same train track, seeing an end of the line. But for now, its "what a ride". Just love my red NSX which we all know is a little faster than silver....:biggrin::biggrin:
DocL, so I got 24,000 miles on my 1996 that has been garaged kept most if not all its life. Your starting to turn me into a "worry wart". Don at Hilltop said last October that my hoses looked/felt okay so I think I'll have him check it out again this year October. You know, like going for an...
Hasn't sold because it is over priced. Add in the fact that the dealer is clueless on properly marketing this car. No reference to maintenance of TB/WP or what records are on file...
With all due respect to DrVolkl's comments "worry warts or just common sense", I think your comments and letting it ride a few years are spot on/good judgement.
Use the search function to best answer your question as there is volumes on this subject. My 14 year old timing belt with 24,000 miles on it was like new when replaced. Some say..."the stig".... the water pump offers greater risk than timing belt.
5 years and 12,000 miles..I'd wait at least...
I like the leaf blower idea for my other cars but not the NSX or Grand National. The cars are always garage kept and driven in dry weather only. Having owned the NSX for 9 months and the GN painted 2 years ago, I have not washed either car. My cars get a sponge bath, using detail mist spray with...
Just got my Bridgestone Potenza RE760's today and the tire shop set them at 34F 36R. Thinking of upping the rears to 38 lbs but intentionally leaving short of the 40 lbs. I had always thought the manufacturers recommendation was best on ultimate performance for the car irrespective of tire...
In my mind color is very important versus rarity of color, although some would argue on bragging rights and resale value. For me red was #1 then followed by silver. Red is a little faster than silver which is well documented on this forum.:wink::wink: Good luck finding a...
c9c: docjohn's response is quite broad and rightfully so. The answer could be one word "depends" because there is so much variability in the condition of the car that impacts price. Do a search on this forum as "what should I pay" has been frequently discussed. Maybe check out posts by tbromley...
Ordered Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport tires for my NSX from Big O tires. Know the owner but wanted to make sure the work is done right. Got the "don't screw up the rims" covered as well as changing the tires by their top service guy.
Question is : they will probably raise the car like in...
