XPEL Self Healing Film being installed.

It's been in storage, so I haven't seen in since last November. No telling what's underneith that car cover.

I do know that I'll need to have the hood re done. Some circles appeared after a few months. I still need to contact him about that.

I see. Did you leave it in the sun for a couple days for it to fully heal? Sooner you contact him the better. Let him know ahead of time .

Yeah, it was out in the sun all summer. I've just been so busy with the sale of our old house and the purchase of our new house, I haven't had time to deal with anything. Everything looks amazing though.

Really? Must be the films itself or the installer.

Anyways, GL with sale and congratulation on the new place.

John, I recently had mine installed by Scott at Advance Auto Engineering in Cerritos. I did the full front less the hood for less than $1k. I'd imagine that with the hood, it should still come in at less than $2k.

Just received a quote of $2000 for the complete front end, to the doors, as well as mirror protection. Seems slightly high?

It's also the first time they're going to be installing the "ultimate" film.

$2k?!

John, Ship your NSX to me and I'll do it for $1k!

I will even throw in doing the top roof for FREE!

I had the entire bumper, bumper lip, entire hood, entire fenders, mirrors, turn signals, headlight lenses and headlight covers done for $1,100.

Now that's a DEAL! Bumper lip, turn signals, head light lenses too. You make sure the WHOLE front is protected huh?! lol

The kit comes with all of that from XPEL. The only thing that was custom was my WW Lip.

Probably easier to Fly you out from TX

I'll give Scott a call, Thanks Graeme.

how much $$ was this? Where can I find this service locally? (Im in Northern California)

Why do you only do the front of the cars and not the entire car? just curious.

From the pictures the finish and shine looks better than paint.

What is it like to keep clean compared to paint? and water marks when washing etc?

Reading posts in this thread leaves me to believe it's easier to maintain and keep clean.

You should add the leading edge of rear wing, A pillars, top of windshield, trailing edge of side intakes, door edges, door handle pull area

It almost seems like it'd be easier to just budget for new paint every 5 years than deal with this protective film malarkey. That's the impression I'm getting, anyway.
