Xbox 360 Flops in Japan

The PS3 demo sony had running in their booth at CES looked amazing. The graphics appeared far superior to the 360 I have. Cant wait!!

I read that demo was being dispayed on a high-end PC with 2 Nvidia 7800 cards in SLI -- Not a real PS3.

Since many of the initial Blu-Ray disc players are being priced in the $1000+ price range and the PS3 is going to be a game console+BluRay player what does that mean for it's initial sale price? Is it going to be a $1000+ game console? At that price might as well just buy a high-powered media center PC.

A high-end PC will cost well over $2500 to have the kind of power the PS3 will have. BUT, in a year, that could change a lot.

release price isn't known, but sony isn't stupid enough to price themselves out of the market. I'm guessing ~$400 and sony will take a sizeable loss on each unit sold (just as microsoft is) at least at first until prices of components come down.

I have decided to just buy one right after my mid-terms are over. Problem is that I still dont know if I should just buy the core or the better one for $100 more. I plan on buying PGR3 and a years subscription on the gold xbox linve thing. Plus, where can I find one now at it's MSRP?

Buy the premium, it is only the price of one game more and you will regret big time having only the core version! :wink:
