Who is going to be the Vice President?

Thanks Sig:frown: I just vomited:wink:

Both parties have such a great record efficiently putting money to use, what do you have to worry about. One runs up the deficit, the other doesn't beat around the bush and takes it right in front of you and makes it seem like you should be lucky to do so. Off to China.

Nearly every candidate gets a post convention bounce. This one is smaller than history and RNC's has been much more limited in it's ability.

Most people don't know this but I worked for the Gallup polls in highschool. Every time I see one of their polls on CNN or whatever I can't help but laugh. Despite what they might want you to think, it's kind of a joke.

I find this piece of information to be rather comedy...lol Even though it has nothing to do with this election.

For those who knows John Williams, one of the most celebrated composer of our time said two weeks ago, who was responsible for composing, conduction, and recording of Steven Spielberg's short film for the DNC titled "Tribut to our troops," made a very funny, but true comments. "It seems like every time I do any thing for the DNC candidate, they loose the election." My friend Timothy Morrisson, who is one the greatest trumpet player of our time was responsible for the trumpet solo segment told me the story. We were laughing our ass off yesterday when we had our usual cigar session.

Back to topic:
I don't believe any of the charts showing Obama will lower the taxes for the middle/lower income segment. McCain said he will keep the low taxes, therefore, nothing will change. Obama wants to "only" raise the tax for the rich, therefore, how can the middle class tax to be lowered if that's what he is after? Also, he wants to raise taxes on Capital Gains and Inheritance. No F ways!!! If my dad accumulated asset from investment paid by his already taxed income, why should the kids be penalized for unreasonable tax rate because "it's not fair for those who don't have any thing lined up?" Correct me if I'm wrong. He wants to raise the tax from 20% to 40%? You don't even get taxed 40% under the Federal income tax at even at its highest rate. That's what I call BS.

but our international competitiveness puts EVERYTHING in, on, and around the table!

Well said. I always use the multiple ailment patient analogy. If a patient has a headache, a splinter, and a spreading cancer at the same time.... you need to treat the cancer. Taking out the splinter and swallowing an Advil may make you feel better, but unless you address the cancer it's a waste of time. In politics, dealing with the cancer is difficult and risky (for re-election)... so they tend to avoid it and address the splinters. Social Security is not called the 'third rail of politics' for nothing. Anybody that tries to do anything related to Social Security is burned at the political stake. Medicaid and Medicare are even worse that Social Security... well worse in terms of the taxpayer burden for grossly inefficient/costly programs. Taxation is it's own game, but certainly places a significant handicap on our nation's international competitiveness.
