Where are all the Production deliveries ??

The weekly update

steel brakes may be available in January
the car cover is still on back order
confirmed that you can buy factory wheels other than the ones your car was configured with
there are Warehouses on the East and West coasts and some things like wheels will ship directly from the PMC to your dealer
production has reached the 8 per day target
no news on an extended warranty yet
if you change your wheel size (aftermarket) it is a good idea to have the alignment checked
both Sergio and Lee were at NSXPO and got to take folks out in the Gen2 NSX
i let them know about the start button being on the wrong side of the dash of the models (funny trivia). They have a model and will see if that is the case for their's

I wasn't lucky enough to get a ride in a gen II while I was at NSXPO....I was too busy tearing up Sebring in my NA2 and didn't hang out enough waiting for the owners who did come. I can confirm what was said above about Ted Klaus' speech at NSXPO. He seemed geniunely concerned about the issues raised by our members.

PS, the cars sound amazing in person, at high speed. I'll take whatever exhaust the Pikes Peak cars had, though!

Could you summarize Ted's comments for those who weren't there?

He started off by offering an apology for the lack of communication and to owners like Bruce still waiting for his. They are aware of the dealer markups and are focused on getting the next allocation out so he is sharing our concerns.

We have his remarks (and others) videotaped but we need approval before we can release anything.

Yes, yes, yes!

Believe it or not!

Hi Bruce,

Sorry, was inundated with emails and trying to play catch up from having been away from the plant.

It was a pleasure meeting you at the NSXPO.

Your vehicle was produced late last week and completed it's final quality confirmation yesterday. It will now go through a series of pre-shipping preparations and inspections.

Have CC'd some other Acura colleagues that can help you with any other information you need.

Thank you for being a loyal Acura NSX owner.

Best regards
Clement

What other Acura colleagues did Cement CC?

They still aren't getting info to the dealers.

If you weren't at NSXPO to advocate for yourself, you would likely have not info (even though your car has been produced).

You caught me! That's me in the Honda wings hoodie. I believe we chatted, didn't we?
Yep, nice to meet you. Good night overall despite the whole debacle with the trailer

Anyone seeing 2nd allocations showing up at dealers yet? My order locked in September but still waiting for a build date. If they are at a production rate of 8 per day now then should we be seeing phase 2 cars on the road? Or they still holding at the factory for paint cures, transport scheduling, etc?

Thanks, Bob. I hadn't gotten back to this thread to reply until just now. But that is what was said. Ted, again, seemed genuinely concerned about these issues.

Huntingbus, I believe some dealers have received a second car

yourvdealer should have information on what nth car yours will be.

do you know the vin and serial numbers for the first one they received as it looks like Acura is maintains the order the coverage units were done in.

In Norcal, a 2nd allocation should be landing by the end of the week.

Our 2nd should land right around thanksgiving. We locked first week of september.

Today's update:

The tour website will go live internally for Acura folks to test out and should be available for us soon there after.

The NSX Specialists will do the full tour experience by the end of this month, including wrenching an engine.

Check out my winter wheels thread for today's comedy of errors too.

As of Nov 17, 2016 vin # 285 is the highest I have seen on cars.com

Glad to hear. Still waiting for word on build date for mine which was allocation #2 for my dealer. Their first allocation was produced as vin#43 and delivered in Aug -- so being as high as 285 now and assuming the second round goes in same dealer order then should be seeing mine any day now.
