This NSXCA video answers your question and provides some additional color; intended pun.

A Reyn Spooner Disney Moana Hawaiian button up in Navy? I was originally going to say Disney because of your mentioning being an Imagineer (in another thread) but I thought too obvious. One of my good friends was an Imagineer in FL for a little over two decades but got laid off this year :(

Yep, you guys are both correct. And the layoffs have been brutal, vf2ss. Quite a few of my friends/former colleagues are looking for work in a brutal economy (particularly for those whose life experience is in the world of themed entertainment).

On the bright side, exclusivity is holding strong.

The low numbers reaffirm my good decision making skills. I never liked joining big groups and becoming part of the team. I am still confident in my choice of cars. Kind of the same way I felt when I purchased my 2001 NSX-T. Individuality is what drove Honda way back when he started the company. It would seem that most people who buy the NSX are those who have done their homework and want different/unique. It is not a car that represents status level in the same way as Ferrari or safe choices like Porsche, Audi, and the GTR. The NSX is not a bling car though it looks like one.

I think all you NC1 owners are smart people- this car is really special. I'm still working on Mrs. Honcho to allow us to add one to the garage next to the S Zero. Thus far, I've reached a "cold day in hell", which is an improvement from "when hell freezes over". :D It's a process.

Funny.....! Even though I paid for my car by selling 3 other cars in my collection, Permission from the wife cost me new flooring and carpet at the house.....

Ha! Permission to do my S Zero project cost me a finished basement- $130k. About what I would pay for a NC1 incidentally... funny how that works. ;)

haha marriages are like the chambers of congress....you get to spend...so do I....

Luckily my wife loved the NSX as much as I did once we were able to drive some, and she drives it as much as (or more than) I do. No expensive bribes needed!

This line ("The layout would be loosely reminiscent of the recently-departed BMW i8: an internal combustion engine aft of the cabin, and two electric motors powering the front wheels.") loses the author's credibility for me. Why compare it to a failed, obviously non-performance vehicle rather than the seemingly much more similar NSX?
