i had my nsx upto 175mph the other night on an empty bridge of coarse but i deffently had it upto nearly 190 mph on the nitrous 6 months ago, i'd say with speedo error it was around 185mph.
BTW with the rm kit it is ok to use my nitrous at that speed right? i have done so many times, but just figured i'd ask.

not fast enough.

I only drive the at the posted speed limit. Somtimes double if there's no one around.

Middle digit was 6.

180 gauge speed with stock tires. The highway had a slight decline…it may not have needed the decline, but I’m sure it decreased the time to reach that speed. Even if the highway is seemingly empty, at those speeds any traffic comes on quick. The car is very stable feeling at those speeds.

(Thats the Fastest I’ve been in any car. 197 on a bike, 160 in the rain, and 155 in the rain for about two hours with an average speed of 130 in a mini cannonball. (I was the passenger, and that was the most afraid I’ve ever been)

On the tacho it said 280 kph (174 mph).
But I still had some space left under the pedal to be honest.

BTW, someone told me that to get maximum speed out of the NSX you should disable TCS.

smoore, 175 MPH is pretty impressive.

With my car, I think I could top 200 MPH since the gearing is for higher speed. One of my fellow Corvette nuts hit 212 MPH in Europe on his C5 which had similar mods as my car.

I've often wondered if the NSX could top 200 mph but thought after 191 or 192 mph it was aerodynamically improbable. ie. the amount of hp needed to offset the downforce and get the extra 8 or 9 mph would need to be very sizable.

With N20 and CTSC 9PSI w/stock gears, I easily buried it but next time I'd tape the creases. With my Targa, it sounded like I was in the middle of a tornado!

O-ace,

Do your Corvette buddies know that you are trying to cross over into exotic car ownership? I bet you'd get fried if they found out! LOL

I have only gone 110. I am lame.

How fast do you think we will be able to get up to on Texas Motor Speedway? -- in a stock NSX..

LOL! Actually, they know I'm going over to the dark side.

Everyone has a million reasons to NOT buy an NSX, but I just needed a few to convince me otherwise

You're depriving your NSX. I've done 130+ in my TL/S

Also keep in mind the redline limitations, even if you had the power. The most you can do with a five-speed without exceeding redline is 186 with the stock R&P, less with the aftermarket ones. The six-speed will redline in sixth at 202 with the stock R&P though.

I have to disagree with you. At 120 kph I'm running 3000 rpm in 5th. That's 40 kph per 1000 rpm in 5th. If I could get the engine up to 8000 rpm I would be doing 320 kph which equals to 198.9 mph.
But I have been told that in 5th gear your rev-limiter will kick in at 7500 rpm (that is, with TCS on).

The 186 mph is actual mph calculated using the actual RPM and actual gear ratios. Any difference is due entirely to errors in your gauges.

I have never heard that before.

179 untill somone tossed a cheese burger out of there sunroof in front of me, scared the crap out of me. So young, so angry, Damb that rap music.

Naturally aspirated NSXs will hit 135 w/o any problem. Boosted NSXs will easily add +20 MPH.

BRING EXTRA BRAKE PADS AND FLUID!!!!
