Been through quite a few, but ended up falling for the Honda Superhawk. 1000cc twin, nice low end grunt for the street. It had a few shortcomings that I took care of with upgrades (it's been my vehicle to wrench on). After all the mods I ended up with the perfect bike for me

I think I might put it up for sale though. I'm kinda craving a few different bikes right now
1) Adventure bike - KTM or BMW 1200/650/800GS
2) Motard - Yamaha WR250x, DRZ400sm or ?
3) Dual sport - DRZ400s
4) Ninja 250 or R6 track bike

And I think I might be able to get 3 of 4 or more of those bikes from the sale of my Duc, used bikes of course. I'm actually heading to the BMW dealer in a few minutes to see what they have to offer

Lately, I've really been wanting to step down to smaller cc and lower power machines. Having tons of power is great but I miss the sense of satisfaction of being to man handle your bike and wringing the p!ss out of it while ripping out of a corner. Kinda getting tired of having to tip toe around with having so much power on tap.

Thanks It never photographs well, its actually a slightly darker "Hugger Orange", but still kind of bright.

I put the front end from a CBR 929 on it for bigger, inverted forks, much beefier springs and more adjustability. It also lowered the front about an inch which quickened up the steering. The wheels are OZ's from an RC-51, much lighter then the stockers. Handling was massively improved after that, it became a whole new bike

I've had over a dozen bikes probably since my college years, sadly all of them have been crotch rockets so I told my wife when our kids get older I'd like to try a Harley or BMW touring bike.
