What car bothers you most for a race?

Be careful some of those Civics and Integras will surprise the
$#!% out of you:D

I currently drive a Mustang..and if it's any consolation I also get revved on by many domestics and imports alike. Seems like the slowest cars always want to battle.

Must be one of those low self esteem issues.

Actually, I think import owners get a kick out of beating a v-6 or v-8 mustang owner with a 4 banger and some mods they've added. You see, my experience with mustang (and other domestics) leaves me with a rather bitter feeling. Especially, when they ride up my tail in the NSX and then buzz by me with the FORD encircled or paired with the confederate flag.

Tends to get MY blood boiling. But when I see people like my chinese cuz and his little turbo civic blow these guys away. It gives me a warm feeling that surges like NSXtasy throughout my viens;)

Yea it is fun blowing the doors off of domestics in a boosted Civic :D :D We roll around in my buddies fully built H22 CX 400+ hp daily driven :p :D :p

See the brake lights?

You guys seemed faster on this mt road than this bike dude.

but, i would say this bike dude is very brave, doing knee drag on the mt road. I would never do that, nor i have balls to do so. One mishap can send him 6 ft under fast.

There are so many road factors for bike not to go all out. Granted, car will have to watch out for road conditions: gravel, pot holes, bumps, animials, and blind corners.. But bike will have to be 4 times more careful about it, or he will be the roadkilled.

On a track, with same (similar) driver/rider, street bike will kill any street car easily. Go pick up "cycle world" or any bike mag, and see what their lap time is, and pick up the car mag and compare.

I remeber reading cycle world couple years ago, there was this pro racer turned pro superbike rider, he tested a Zo6 vs some suzuki bike (600 or 750), basically it was ugly. Bike is clearly in a league of its own.

there was a program on over here(UK) a year or so with jeramy clarkson,and he pitted a big bike(fireblade i think)with a porshe 911(may have been a turbo)on a race track.
the rider of the bike was a pro racer, and the driver of the car was a touring car racing driver.
the track was a twisting tight track with a few straights.the bike would pull on the car on every straight but the car would catch it on every corner and ended up being the eventual winner by a small margin.

I have been known to have a heavy foot at times and for some reason Camaros, mustangs, corvettes and most other cars in my area do not try to race me. But then my pesky botherer is the modded eclipses/talons and turboed Civics that think they are fast. They are always doing that blowoff valve thing when they pull up next to me. I just want to say "GO AWAY" but I smile and just keep on driving.
I have been asked by quite a few people how many pounds of boost am I running. I love saying ZERO. I think it is my Exedy clutch though, is the reason that they ask. Whenever I change gears, the point of disengage, there is a noise that might be mistaken for a blow off valve. Or when I pull them....

I would say that for me it's mostly the same as previous posts, mustang, vette, WRX, hopped up Civics, WS6, etc. I drive a 92, all stock, daily driven. Due to the fact that I drive mine everyday I deal with taunting a lot. Most sports car people have been very respectful of the NSX, I have seen many positive reactions. I even had a guy turn around from the other direction, pull up next to me at the stop light, get out of his 3000GT, asked to take a picture of my car, got out, in traffic, ran to front of my car and take a picture, then the light turned green. I think most people just want to see you launch it because you rarely see these cars. If you look carefully in your rearview mirror as you walk away you can see the smile on their faces too. When the taunting starts I most always just let them go on, every once in a while I might "play" a little and try to keep it sane. As for bikes, in my opinion it's "apples and oranges" to compare them on performance. That's been my experience so far with my NSX.

I just had a dude in a festiva pull up to me on the highway off of my front bumper, turn around with camera phone in hand and take a snap shot, then again when i was at a light off of an exit where he was next to me....
Why can't hot chicks be the ones i run into doing that??? :p

Hmm...Probably because the automatically assume your some hot shot and don't want to blow up your head anymore. You and I know your just an NSX lover and otherwise a typical guy, but they don't. Besides...I had a date last night come over. I opened the garage and she saw the NSX....and the CBR600 Honda motorcycle. The first thing she says is "Woooow, I LOVE your bike!!"

Bike=$8K NO MODS

NSX=$38K SoS body kit, HRE rims, lowered suspension, etc.

Go figure???
