what an interesting night.

I might have missed it, but what about the driver who hit the dog? Did he ever stop or anything?

she got out of her car for a second while i was up at the dog, i asked her what the hella do we do!? shes like "i dont know" and then when im walking the dog over to the side of the road she takes off,

ohhwell, whatever, im just happy the dog was ok, cant wait to see him again

It's sad to hear about a dog getting hit like this, but it's nice to know that most people on Prime would have stopped to help.

A year ago a friend and I were driving in the NSX and a ~17 year old kid came flying out of the ditch on his pedal bike, I had no trouble slowing in time, the Yukon coming the other way wasn't able to however, he hit the kid, then ran him over. My friend and I stopped, my friend ran to the kid and made sure he didn't move while I phoned 911, I'm glad my friend was more level headed than I was. Since my friend had it under control I went to the driver of the Yukon (a young guy) and made sure he was okay, he was really shook up, but when I told him there clearly wasn't anything he could have done he seemed better. The kid ended up with a pretty bad broken leg, but otherwise he was okay, he's lucky he didn't die. A side note, when I was explaining what happened to the police I was kind of flailing my arms describing it and I accidentally hit the cop that was standing behind me, oops. Not trying to take away from your story, just thought I'd add my similar experience.

You are THE MAN fullracehonda thank you for doing the right thing. I hope and pray for a positive vet checkup and now you have another friend for life!

I rescued my buddy Max who was found abandoned and wondering around the county park I used to work for and he is my shadow to say the least LOL!

I also rescued this puppy one saturday while still with the park's dept. He was skinny as heck, lost, scared and lonely and just walking up to car's at a stop light with that look in his eye's that would melt Satan. When I first saw him I drove on but immediately made the soonest u-turn because I would not have been able to live with myself if I did not help him. I brought him home for the day and night and filled his belly and gave him a warm soft bed to sleep in. Since Max was the second dog in the house we could not keep him but I took him to a 'NO KILL' shelter/adoption agency where I knew he would recieve the care and attention he needed, oh I forgot I named him Lucky and here is a pic of him.

no, you are THE MAN:cool:

i really want to go adopt this dog but its such a stretch right now, ive had my world turned upside down for some time now from an auto accident and its going to be a a couple or few months for my attorney to get the settlement handled and out of the familys house so i have money i can spoil this dog with, but if nothing else i am going to make sure hes at one of those "no kill" shelters, im goign to try and find this pup on monday/tuesday(busyier weekend than expected)

ive been thinking and it would be really nice to have such a great companion, maybe he will pull his weight and pick up some chicks for me:tongue:

I love animals; we need to care for them and not mistreat them. You have earned major bonus points in life (from me). Thank you and I hope that beautiful dog makes it. Regardless, thanks to you, he was well cared for.

Awesome job fullracehonda, glad to see there are still some good people out there.

Keep us updated

Good karma, you did something wonderful. I bet the satisfaction from the feeling of saving this dog is priceless.

If I am the owner of the dog, I would be forever grateful, repaid you the bill, full interior/exterior detail, and additional for your time and trouble.

Looking at his happy face, there is a good possibility that his owner is a loving owner. I wouldn't be too surprised they are devestated at the moment and under extreme anxiety while looking for the dog. To a dog owner, when their baby is missing, it is a huge deal, it can put someone into deep depression.

Shit happens, doesn't matter how much the owner love and care for their pets. Sometimes it only takes a tiny unintentional mistake/neglectance to result in a big regret. People who love and care for animals are never bad people imo.

That looks like a beautiful dog - great job on helping it.

For those wondering how a Husky gets out, they can jump a 5 ft fence, no problem, and they are prodigious diggers. They love to run and they are travelling dogs - when they decide to go for a hike, it's a long one! They are not homebodies at all - they like to get out and explore. Very demanding animals to have as pets, unless you have a huge piece of property that they can explore (and even then, you'd better have a big fence).

Thats why my Dacshund never leaves the house. I let her out in the front yard once thinking she'll mind and she took off like she was on crack. I must've chased her 1/2 mile. I was totally freaked.

Man that was a touching story. Beautiful dog too.

Whats kind of funny though I remember once driving down a road here in Worcester and I remember there was a dog I believe a husky trotting down the road with traffic behind it. There was a big rig directly behind it pacing the dog... lets put it this way about 2 miles down the road there was still a line of cars pacing the dogs walk. It was soo funny and kind of cute cause that dog looked so happy walking down the same road as the cars, wagging his tail and stuff. I felt bad for the people sitting in traffic though cause that dog must of been going a good 2 miles/hour at the time lol.

Have you recieved an update on the dog since that night? Just know that most likely a dog like that will not be homeless for long so I would act quickly if you can, call that vet asap. That dog already has a special bond with you so please try to get him ok?

I hope your other situation work's out positive and quickly for you, best of luck bro.

Gregg

PS,
idiot, it is a dog and they do get loose, stupid comments like this ruin a good story.

how dare you just assume you know about the owner, or the dog enough to make a comment like that.

for all we know it was let out of a cage or pen or back yard by some kids, or disgrunteled employee.

you MUST just be trying to add to your post count............

Dude you need to lighten up and grow up  .
