What age did you get your NSX?

I'm not interested in how old someone is who bought a used NSX. I'd be interested in how old the people were when they bought their new NSX, though. My dad bought a new 1992 NSX when he was 67 years-old.

The same thing is happening on S2ki. People in their late teens and early twenties posting a thread asking how old the owners are who have these used S2000s. (They were discontinued in 2009.)

sounds like a good metric Kyras I was... 34 when I picked up my new nsx in 96 and still have it.

LOL.. right... and he gets 3 pages of replies so far...

He still has one post. Probably posted and went back to 5th grade geometry class and you guys are still writing out your life stories... :D

"Whale kid, let me tell yuz how it all began... I was bone in a small town just outside boomersville Missisipa"... LOL

Actually I'm in the military with bigger obligations then to sit in front of a computer and talk shit in a forum. The reason why i asked the question was cause at a car show. A couple in their late 50's asked me how old I was and I told them I was 23. They were shocked and asked me if my parents bought it for me. Then I told them no and told them I'm in the Navy. Then they told me thanks for my service and told me they had own one themselves. Leaving me in shock. I was left more in shock at the modification they had done to it.

Bought mine when i was 22-23.. Saved my money from before I was 16. Saved a bunch when i was in school for the military for about 9 months and also a year later when i was in Iraq. I bought it outright

This is a reason why i don't like this forum sometimes. People so quick to take things negative and talk crap.

Same here, but except I wasn't in Iraq. I was on a 9 month deployment on a nuclear submarine.

My brother was in the navy and just hearing about the long deployments like this and actually seeing where your sleeping and what not sharing beds in between shifts, makes me feel pampered living in a 1/3 of a shipping container, sharing rooms but not beds.

Yeah when we are doing missions with the SEAL team on board most of us gets to sleep next to a torpedo. But seeing ports makes up for it. Thanks for your service.

I think there would be less than a handfull of posts from original owners that are still on prime. Not too many people could afford a brand new NSX.

I am so old I have to pull out a trusty rusty abacus to figure out how old I was!
Oh yeah, I bought my brand new NSX at the introductory car show when I was 43......mid-life crisis purchase according to my wife.
However she wasn't really upset because she got the Porsche 911SC which I purchased new when I was 28 ...picked up direct from the factory in Stuttgart, Germany.
It was a real upgrade from the Nissan 240Z which I purchased new at the tender age of 22.
I must admit that my initial car was a used Triumph TR6 which I purchased just out of diapers when I was 19. Except for the Triumph which was partially financed by my Dad, I paid cash for all the rest.
I have always been really allergic to incurring any non-deductible debt for tax purposes.

This thread reminds me how i always feel at nsx meet. Most owner are more mature (older) then i am (26). I feel as though im not up to their level? Out of place. But do enjoy talking to the. Because they have different view and taste in mods, etc.. Plus they know a lot.. I like picking their brain.
Had my used 93 for 2yrs now. Work my ass off to pay for it. No i dont live with my parents, no my parents are not rich. Both dont even know how to drive. I live 11hrs away from them. Yes i am on my own, paying rent.. I drive a 95civic with a gsr motor as my DD.. Bought that used too.. I dont care, its my beater..30/33mpg city/hwy..

I still feel out of place in this forum sometime. But cant stop reading, too many valuable info to not ingest.

I wanted to make sure I had a garage for the NSX first and then would be able to pay for it in full. So bought my house at 26 and got my NSX at 27 - cash. No regrets and I'm never selling the car :)

Just wondering the ballpark at what age people get their NSX. I just bought mine and I'm 23. Would of been a lot sooner but wanted to financially set myself up some more.

So this is your first post in Prime? Because of you bought a cheap used NSX? There are many true ballers in Cali. I saw the difference between you and the Cali true ballers.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

No one is "talking crap". You just don't know me. I am almost always joking in all my posts because none of this NSX shit matters all that much if you can't laugh in life. I'm glad we all talk about this car but I like being here because of the many guys I have gotten to know and become friends with. If we never laughed, this would be a boring place. I think most guys here know that unless I am talking about something technical, I am rarely ever serious.

So when I said "he has one post and you all are telling your life stories, it all started when I was born in Boomersville", I am just busting the balls of the veterans here... because IT IS FUNNY.

Hopefully even NSX209 can appreciate a little humor because talking about your aftermarket fingershnitzle all the time can get a little boring.
