Fantastic news!!! Here is the reply I received from Tom Kohrs our NSXCA representative.

Typically what I tell people is that the club will contribute $10 per member for lunch or other activity or $25 for an annual dinner. Since the NW/BC has not done any organized events for the past couple of years, I would be willing to give you a budget of $35 per club member attending. Attached is a list of all of the NSXCA members in BC, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. For non-members that are active on NSXPrime. See if you can get them to join the club as they will get most of their money back on just this one event.

So all of you non members, this is the time to visit www.nsxca.com and become members. Most of you are probably thinking of attending NSXPO 2008 in Portland this fall. Why not save yourself time, money and trouble by joining before the May event?
Regards,
Pam

I just joined the NSXCA, I will be doing the same with our Canadian club as well. It sounds like a great deal for sure!! Congrats on getting that deal worked out for us.

Yes, the Executive of the NSX Club of Canada strongly recommends you all join NSXCA, but just to be clear, NSX Club of Canada membership is sufficient to attend NSXPOs. You do not need to join NSXCA to attend NSXPO IF you are a NSX Club of Canada member (negotiated last fall) just as NSXCA members do not need to be members of the Canada club to attend events like Est Fest.

I really hope that all of you guys attending West Fest decide to join the Club. We want to help you guys build something great out west; as it sits right now, Est Fest is a Club event but I dont think that West Fest is, correct?

How many Canada Club members are attending? What is taking all of you who havent joined yet?

I'm joining the Canadian Chapter, just busy at work making too much money.
Eddie will sign up later when he feels like it.
Hey, I just watched Godfather 1 and 2 and will work on 3 this week.
Maybe I should get you all the Edmonton phone numbers and you can move in on them. Just watch out for the St. Albert Brothers..........

Ok gang, Kris at the Manteo Resort has 2 , i repeat...TWO! rooms left from our block of rooms reserved for West Fest '08.
Even if you are on the fence, if you reserve you can still cancel only days before the event with a full deposit refunded to you. This will be a very busy weekend around Kelowna and the hotels (especially the good ones) will be booked far in advance. Give the Manteo Resort a call at 1.800.445.5255 and get registered so you won't be looking for a park bench upon which to sleep.

Our friends back east have used their mob influence to get us some reduced rates on hotels in Kelowna for the West Fest '08!! Thats the good news, the bad news is that being a long weekend apparently it is customary to have minimum 3 day stays at the local hotels/resorts. If any of you have friends/relatives in the area the time to exploit them might be now!! We have chosen the Manteo Resort as the place the group is staying. They have given us a deal and the rates are now in their system. Anyone wanting to make reservations can contact the reservations department at 1-800-445-5255 and to ensure that they receive the special rates that have been set up for our group you must identify yourself as a participant of the NSX Car Club of Canada. They originally held a block of 15 rooms and as of Feb. 11 we have 6 rooms still available so book asap if you haven't already. Go to www.manteo.com to see what it's all about. I am finalizing the itinerary and it will be posted by the 15th of February.

The following names are in the system at the Manteo, if you're not and think you should be then give them a call at the number listed above right away. This list is updated to Feb 13th...

FFFFanman = Yacyshyn = Trevor = Spanky = Yo Yo!!! lol
I can't believe only 10 people are listed to show up with their cars.
Must be some kind of mistake.

Our Westfest '08 now has 21 cars!

25 would be a great turnout, far better than i had originally hoped. Thanks to all for their commitment and those who can't make it we sure hope to see you next year!

Pam, I made the mistake on purpose knowing very well that it would get a response and more people to post if they where coming or not.
Even when I'm right about being wrong, its for a darn good reason!!! lol
I do admit when I make mistakes, like the only one I made last year........

20-30 is going to be nice.

I am so looking forward to this event. I used to go to Kelowna for the annual Miata Sun Run on the same week end, and there would be 50 to 75 cars.

Would anyone be interested if I organize a t-shirt for this West Fest event?

Large black please, "wear" do I send my money?
I'll take two large and one medium for Eddie.
Then I have to convince him to go.
Looks like paintball might be a little more important than us.

This is the e-mail i received today from the Manteo Resort:

"There is one room remaining in the block which will be released today. If you have any additional guests that would like to make reservations as long as they say they are with the NSX Car Club we will extend the group rate to them, though it will now be subject to availability."

That being said we filled up our block of rooms. Congrats to all who chose to stay at this Resort it is truly a special place according to those I spoke with who know of its reputation. We are only 5 weeks from the event and some are still asking me which routes are being taken to get there. I know it will be hard to get large groups of cars to travel a dedicated route at the same time due to factors such as departure times/starting location/personal route preferences/weather factors. I think it might be best to allow members to start a thread based on points of origin, and members can then decide where and when to meet up on May 16th. Lower Mainland cars can set up a meet place and time, Alberta cars the same. Me being in the interior I will meet the group somewhere along the way. Any other suggestions will be appreciated as always!!

Thanks

Received from Kris today at the Manteo Resort in Kelowna....

"Aaron, I was just looking at the thread for NSX prime, is there a possibility that there are others that may have reserved rooms at Manteo for the weekend and did not identify themselves as part of the group? If so, are you able to provide me with names and I will ensure they are included with the group and we can ensure sufficient parking for the group."

Attached is a list from the Manteo of their current list of expected guests. call them if you are staying there and for one reason or another are not on the list.

Buckshon, Pamela
Capistrano, Cheryl
