Is everyone aware that Friday is the last day to be able to make this purchase? I wouldn't wait until friday either because Ahmed will be crazy busy as many will call and you may not get through to him.

Make sure you get your orders placed this week guys. I know most of you have done it but some are procrastinating.

Yes, if you go to the vivid racing website, click wheels, and then click accessories, all the center caps and lugnuts are listed there. Of course the pricing and stuff is different for this GB. if you don't want the lugnuts included with your order for free, you can get a credit towards any other lugnut that you want. All the Advan cent caps are there as well, with photos. Choose the one you want and list it here, and he can place it on your order. Same with tires. You can see vivid carries almost every brand. So if you want new tires mounted and balanced on your wheels prior to shipment, you can select something and list here, like I did under "tires". If you write "yes", it means you are seeking new tires.
you.

Would you happen to know what lug nuts Vivid will be including as part of this deal? (There are so many listed on Vivid's website with a wide range of prices)

And would anyone know if you can re-use the stock chrome LOCK lugs with these RSII wheels, or do I have to buy entirely new LOCK lugs? Since I read there are fitment issues with using the stock lug nuts on the RSII wheels, am I correct to assume it's the same for the Lock lugs, or no?

My understanding is that factory lug nuts do not work with aftermarket rims and aftermarket lug nuts do not work with factory rims.

This is because factory wheels are flat where the lug nut bolts up and aftermarket are concave.

Most aftermarket lug nuts are security ones with a key. You can browse the vivid site if you desire a upgrade or... The ones that come with the wheels begin with a m from memory which helps narrow it down.

They come with free lugnuts, I think Muteki or Mackin, but if you want to get something different, he will give you a credit towards anything else.

Stock lugnuts use a rounded ball seat, aftermarket wheels use a conical seat. You can't and shouldn't interchange them.

If you plan on tracking the car ever, it is very wise to change the stock studs to hardened ARP studs. These studs are slightly longer. If you want to relieve yourself from the headache of then changing lugs again if you change the studs, then get open ended studs. These are what most of the track guys and racers use anyway and to my eye they look a lot cooler anyway. Spend the few extra $ and get the open end ones unless you really don't like that look. Check out the ones made by skunk2, these are an aluminum magnesium alloy, are very light, strong, and open ended. They are also priced reasonably. I just don't see the need to spend over $100 for a set of lugnuts, these things have become like women's purses where there is a lot of fashion and ridiculous pricing involved. You see the gold ARP bolts and a set of open end skunk2 lugs and you can say "this guy probably understands speed and safety".

As far as locks... Let me just tell you my opinion on these. They are worthless. Anyone wanting to steal your wheels will hammer on a socket just a size too small with two whacks and he loosens the nut. 85 foot pounds is not an immense amount of torque. Locks will slow down the thief maybe 5-10 seconds total, max. But they are a pain in the ass, because if that lock key gets lost, or your service guy loses it, you can be up $hit's Creek yourself as you DON'T carry around a special socket for stealing wheels. So to waste a lot of money on wheel locks... It'll make you feel more good than anything else. Personally, I am not bothering. I am photographing my wheels, sending a copy to my insurance agent, and if they are gone, so be it. I'll get the newer style.

I probably just cut into Ahmed's business with my "don't spend a lot on lugs and don't bother with looks" speech. Oops.... LOL. sorry Ahmed. I think if you want to be really safe you should have 5 different sets of locks with 5 different keys. That way the thief has to hammer 20 sockets onto the lugs and he will at the very least be cursing you and your car.

One last thing, some lugnuts do have an end that is a separate piece that rotates freely from the rest of the lugnut. Kics makes these. They keep the seat of your wheels where the lugs go in from getting scratched. That might be worth something to some people. I am not that particular.

What happens if this group buy doesnt reach 20?

It's going well over that. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm in touch with a lot of people, I know what's going on. Rest assured you'll be fine. Lots of people I talk to are unsure of color, lugnuts, etc. they are waiting til the last minute. We are already close with the number of paid deposits.

Guys, please don't everyone wait until Thursday or Friday. Ahmed will get really busy, you aren't the only one trying to decide details and waiting. You don't want to not be able to reach him. You will never see these prices again, when it's over, it's over. Don't get left out.

Four days left!

Looks like the "other" group buy also ends on the same day as ours. What a surprise.

So if you want a set guys, call NOW. I have a bad feeling I am going to get emails and PMs after the close here. Please don't wait and do that.

I can give you pricing on all that except shipping and customs. So if you don't hear from Ahmed just send me a pm and let me know. He's really busy this week because of all the questions and emails on this GB.
