Visiting LA anywhere to rent an NSX?

Dear NSX Primers,
I'll be visiting LA next month and was hoping I may find somewhere where I could fulfill a personal ambition to drive an NSX for myself. Ideally I'd love to rent one for a day. I am visiting from outside the US (UAE) and we don't get the NSX here (either as an Acura or Honda).
I currently drive a late 996 GT3 (for frisky fun), Honda S2000 (for nice weather, though she's going soon) and a new auto-everything Honda Jazz/Fit (my puppy car) for the daily grind/commute.

I checked the websites of the exotic car rental places in the Southland and none of them carry NSXs:

Beverly Hills Rent-a-Car
Midway Car Rental

I even checked the ones in San Diego, San Francisco, and Vegas. No luck.

Maybe one of the local owners would be willing to get together with you and let you drive his.

Wow! They don't carry NSX in UAE??!! I can swear that there is a member that posts here that's located in UAE with an NSX.

Hello Spinner,
The official Honda Importer here never imported them. There were two or three that did come here when the NSX was new to gauge reaction, but the price was more than the Porsche 911, so absolutely nobody was going to buy one (that was then). If I remember right, the cars were available without a warranty, but then again I may be wrong.
One of them was bought by a senior manager of the importing company (who I believe then exported it back out to his home country). I did ask if he would be willing to let me have a go, or take me for a ride, but in most un-NSX like owner manner he wasn't interested at all. That attitude put me off Hondas for a number of years.
The other two may have also been sold and exported as I have not seen one here anywhere. However, there may be a few private imports that i don't know about.

Several places rent Chevrolet Corvettes... not quite an nsx, but certainly a better option than a minivan.

I doubt you'll see many NSXs in Beverly Hills...you'll see Porsches, Ferraris and Astons. If you want NSXs you gotta go to monterey park/alhambra.

If you want to see nsx's time your arrival with the monthly South Coast Acura meet; it's the first Thursday of the month, and there are usually 25-30 nsx's there.
