Anyone in SoCal (and NorCal too) interested in a combined meet with the club members here in Las Vegas sometime this year? We brought it up at our LV meet this weekend. We can time this to coincide with an event in Las Vegas (ie March Madness, SEMA, CES/AVN:eek:, Dali driving event, Supras Invade LV, Nascar) or a holiday weekend. I know the M5 forum recently had a successful gathering of over 20+ enthusiasts. Looking for suggestions.

Regards,

Danny

I'm sure LV members will be interested in a trip to SoCal for another event as well.

Sounds good to me! Sorry I wasn't able to make it for your meet last weekend. I thought I was going to have to make a last minute trip out there to check on a property, but it fell through at the last minute too...

I am usually in Vegas about once a month cause I've got an office in the turnberry towers, so every time I make a Vegas trip it's a write off!
I'll be out there from the 23rd-25th of this month for my Birthday... ahem.. I mean office meeting, then again the following weekend cause I'll be speaking at a seminar. I'm contemplating staying out there for the whole week, but the condo isn't really set up for that long of a stay.

if the meet date falls under some sort of big vegas convention, im in.

I think SEMA would be the perfect event to coincide with our GTG, however, it runs during the week from Tuesday 10/30-Friday 11/2/07. We can still do it the weekend before or after SEMA.
Maybe Mark can schedule a Dali driving event at Spring Mountain as part of the program. I'll check with him. Any suggestions for dates and program/format?

Regards,

Danny

A good time coming up would be the May 5th Dali event at Puhrump. There is already a few of us going and bringing the head count up at this event is important to keep it from being cancelled. We should support guys who put on track events, or they may not hold/host them anymore
Sincerely,
John

FYI, the National Acura Legend Meet will be taking place in Vegas this year as well and will be held in conjunction with Dali's event on May 5th (only a few will be running the track though). About 20+ attendees are expected from around the country, but a just a small handful will be tracking.

Sounds like a fun get together for us Acura folk! Is that like our NSXPO? This would be a great opportunity for NSX'ers who don't track to get a close look at a track event and possibly get some rides to experience the thrill.
John

The National Acura Legend Meet (NALM) started a few years ago as a way to bring together the members of the Legend community at one spot. It started relatively small, but appears to be growing with each year. Not quite the scope of NSXPO, but maybe eventually. :D

I know that the Legend guys will be thrilled to have a large group of NSXs gather at that event as well. :)

I'm helping with a lot of the planning this year for NALM and we'd love the opportunity to hang out with more of our Acura brethren! I think we're only taking up 5 spots out of Mark's 40 for the track day, but we'll be organizing some dinners (Fri and Sat) and a cruise probably Sat night as well as LOTS of picture opportunities along the way.

I've been lurking for a while here and watching the organization of your NSXPO's to use as a model for our NALM. We're even trying to get Honda NA involved as we continue to grow in attendance. You guys could probably give us quite a shot in the arm by showing up as well!

My SN is the same at Acura-Legend if you feel like stopping by over there and checking it out!

I think a Southwest region get together would be great (Cali, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, etc.).

I know the Supra club holds a national Supra meeting here in Vegas every October (right before SEMA). Its a 2-3 day weekend long event for them. They host a carshow at The Luxor parking lot (which Luxor closes off a section just for them), and then I believe at night they cruise the strip. The next day, they have a dyno shop do dyno runs for them at a discounted rate. At night, I believe they go down to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and have the 1/4 mile strip and a road course open to them. Usually a good 30-40 Supras (ranging from Mk-I to Mk-IV) show up. I'm sure if we can organized this correctly, we could easily set something up.

Vegas Run from SoCAL..........ending in Vegas to party!!!!!!! Who's house are we going to demo? :D

Hey Calvin,

I guess I missed you last night at Vance's shop. May 5 seems to be a good date to solidify now. Will confirm after our next on March 10, unless enough Vegas members chime in now, then we can start talking specifics.

Danny

We need to fill up the track day, May 5, with our cars. One way to do that is to let Mark know you are going.

Good gosh!!! I had no idea you were there last nite. We were in the back BS'ing . Anywhoo, next time for sureeee....

So only 3 NSX's that I'm gonna pass on the track so far...?
Based on what was said at the Willow Springs event I think there will be alot more NSX's there for you to pass, that's if they point you by
