Likewise, when it comes to theft, the NSX is actually pretty low (from what I've seen and heard) as compared to Accords, Civics, Integras, Preludes, etc. - taking into account that there are far more of those cars around than NSX's (trying to avoid the statistical percentage argument that I see coming, hehe...).
The reasoning I have for this is that your run of the mill thieves want to steal something they can turn around and sell...and the market for "no-questions asked" Honda/Acura parts in good condition is quite large...except for the NSX. For example, you could easily find a buyer for a b16 or b18 motor...sell it in a heart-beat to some shade-shop...but while the NSX motor is more expensive, by far, finding a buyer for it isn't that easy...not exactly an easily used engine for a hybrid application.
Anyhow, just a thought...

p.s. However, getting door dings in the NSX if you use it as a daily driver and park in a public lot is probably more likely than if you drove a Civic. The reason here is that you can park your NSX 500 yards away from the next closest car - all the way in the back of the lot - and when you come out of the store from buying your Arizona iced tea and a bag of chips, there will be a ghetto-rigged POS beater parked 6" from your car on one side, and on the other side, a junkyard revived CRX with primer-matte-gray body panels parked on the other side. Of course, this is not a problem if you have a targa with the top off...just do a Bat-Girl type flip into the driver seat...but you may find that your butt lands squarely into a puddle of ice cream that someone decided to plop in there...
