MY TRIP TO THE US GRAND PRIX
-drove two hours Thurs morning to Harrisburg airport:rolleyes:
- the connecting flight was cancelled:frown:
- alternative flight on Fri morning, not good enough:confused:
-called reservation and got a flight in Philly in 2.5 hours:frown:
-left the airport and then decided there wasn't enough time if I hit traffic
- drove back to Harrisburg and got a flight out of Allentown in 2 hours
-drove to Allentown and made it with 28 min left to take-off
- the ticketing person could not get me on that flight:mad:
- went to Nrthwest agent and got a flight from Newark( luckily with a bus shuttle
- took the bus to Newark with direct flight to Jndy
-arrived at Indy and took the bus to downtown
-walked to hotel and passed by Hard Rock cafe
-the guy by the door asked if we were F! fans. Surely enough J. Button was arriving in 5minto play the F1 Playstation game and sign autographs:smile:
- ran to the Borders down the block and got a F1 book
-JB signed it and i also confirmed with him that he has or had 2 NSXs, one blue and one yellow.
-that made my day and forgot all about the terrible flight changes I had

;) It was a blast.... Be there next year! ! (there was discussion of Miami being a thought!! )

mermi! u went!!
did I see you Saturday night in your NSX just south of the circle?? I was in my Diablo and gave ya a thumbs up.....then I was like....WAIT!! but traffic sucked too much to turn around :frown:

Wow Dan when did you get the Diablo? Post some pics!

You would have seen it had you come over to my house for the F1 Grill-O-Rama we had on the Friday night. We had a lot of people there from the S2000 group, Dan's Diablo 6.0, a Gallardo, and some other vehicles. Where were all of you people that were in town, anyway??

My two buddies and I were in turn 7. I've got some good pics of the day, and of the car corral. What a beautiful day it was. A little hot, but the breeze kept it from getting bad. Not to mention Giant Fosters beers, 3 dollar nachos and the bathrooms were right behind us.

Me with the only piece of Honda shwag I had that day. My F1 shirt showed up a WEEK LATE! Thanks for nothing U.S. Postal service. Not to mention there wasn't ONE Honda booth at the whole damn track.

I thought this was a once in a lifetime shot so I had to get it. The track workers at the car corral let me pull my car past everything and get a shot with nothing in the background. I got 3 shots before the guy in charge made me pull the car back into the corral.

Met the guy who owns this car and his wife. Very nice couple.

wish you had come by, I would have loved to see it

Cool pics of the NSX on the track, and of the E36 M3s...hopefully sometime my driveway will have an NSX and M3 camped out there.

I am well aware, thank you. However, 25 years on, he doesn't seem to know the rules, and appears out of his depth.

I didn't mean to offend you, sorry. It's just that your first statement:
I respect that he is a great fan of racing...
seemed to imply that he was simply a fan with no knowledge base.
