slightlyyyy off topic here since the last page was talking about door panels. i personally like the NSX R flat material over the 2nd pic newer nsx door panels.

what's the average price to get them redone? anybody here?

Hey Alex. The door panels on the NSX-R are of different material, and are much lighter. I'm not sure how much they cost.

Ahh icic. Thanks for the info Mike. It seems that the inserts themselves are shaped differently.

Ill hafta dig deeper..I really want that look/feel

I'll have to get some of my pics up...

I replaced all the leather panels with 2000+ flattened perforated leather panels, door handle grip with perforated leather grip, arm rest (fake leather) with real leather to match, glove box (fake leather) with real leather as well as the drivers bolster panel under the steering wheel (which surrounds the key) and the door sill fake leather with real leather to match.

I also updated the parking brake leather as well. The seats are the only OEM leather left... it feels so much more updated. It's the small things like that make a subtle but significant impact!

Were the door cards hard to do?

my question is why did they blank out the lock/unlock button?

to keep those young girls in the car? LOL

thats weird. also wheres the mirror switch is its a coin box? weird

i'm assuming that's why the nsx r is a non nonsense "race car" stripped of a lot of creature comforts that take up space and weight. does look a bit weird tho...you pay more for less!

Just finished my interior update.......Alpine 7" DD in the center console, with DVD. CD, IPOD, NAV and backup camera, modified OEM steering wheel (stripped, bottom flattened, fatter cushion and rewrapped in red and black alcantara), seats and doors redone in red alcantara inserts......

one thing I thing I think I'm going to like is the modified shifter knob. By removing it and carefully drilling/retapping the shaft hole (deeper) you can lower it about 1 inch, thus reducing the throw of the shifting action. It was free and should provide the same effect as a short shift kit.

Sorry the windshield was dirty when I took the pic... Once I finish the entire interior I'll end up taking better pics, for now this will have to do. I like how the seats came out though. The interior used to be all tan which I didn't like(still a few pieces I need to redo). Just need to redo my center console to fit my double din and a few other tid-bits here and there.. I've just been a lazy bastard lately.. lol

I went with OEM red seats:

Some very nice ones on here!

Here's my minimalist interior, with weight-savings as my primary goal. I tried not to make it too obvious....
