Unofficial 2010 NSXPO In Vegas Q&A Thread

That is nonsense perpetuated by the makers of way overpriced car detailing products. The touchless washes use hydromers to get the dirt off the car. In other words soap. Soap is soap is soap. It's a hydromer. Period. End of story.

A hydromer's molecules are smaller than water's. That's what we see as the "slippery" feeling. It makes the dirt slide off since it's molecules are smaller than dirt's by a longshot.

My car is 19 years old and has 265,000 miles. After a run through a Laserwash and a rub down with Honda Pro Spray Cleaner it looks as good as any car at any lame Concours D'Elegance. Anyone who has seen Charlotte will vouch for this.

Stop wasting time poo pooing your cars and drive them! And for God's sake stop believing the crap spread on the Net by the people that sell 50 cents worth of wax for $50.00.
+1 ......... when I lived in Richmond a few years back, I remember being in my 96 NSX and a black McClaren F1 was in front of me on the laser wash line at a WAWA!
That flat floor was the best for low ground clearance.:biggrin:

Checkout new post on NSXPO HPDE tires.

Lance

Also, I want to buy new tires while I am down there. Will there be vendors on site we can get stuff like that? Can I get tirerack.com tires down there? How about car washing and detailing facilities? My car will be filthy after that long drive.[/QUOTE]

HUGH you tell it man. lol

your pic of the PAWN STARS is what I was going to do to. take a pic with my NSX

I called them to see if they wanted to buy some of my CIVIL WAR slave vouchers
so I could be on the show and they said they would get back to me but they did say
that they take pics all day and that it wouldnt be a problem

there shop is actually like 15 blocks from the NSXPO hotel. I looked it up on Google maps.

If we focused on the shirt being black it would minimize the gut showing.
In addition to the "gut" problem, there's another problem. Black shirts are going to be hot, when worn outside in the sun. Shirts made of synthetic materials are going to be hot (compared with all-cotton). So black shirts made of synthetic materials are going to be that much worse.

We hear you.

Ken,
I'll bring matching pink cotton cocktail dresses for us to wear. You know of my penchant for cross dressing at car enthusiast events right?

The shirts are designed breathe and wick moisture away.

If you guys gave me more time. I could've gotten us custom made Pit Crew Shirts from Asia. We could've put any logo, color, design we wanted.

As long as we had the quantity 200+, I would've gotten us a great deal on them $25.00+. I have made them before.

Oh well, maybe next NXPO.

Of course, it would've included a NSXclear.com logo promoting my front side markers somewhere on it :)

Is there only one rate of $225/person or is it discounted for guests or people not bringing their car or possibly only attending 1 day with no car?

Are there any events being held at the hotel? Other than registration it looks like everything else is occurring at another location?

Hi

Well if you call banquet dinner a event it is at the hotel.

Regards

As you all may be aware, the 2010 NSXPO will be held in fabulous Las Vegas. This has the makings to easily be the largest NSXPO event ever with and anticipated attendance of approximately 200+ people. Because of the sheer size of the event, this will be quite a logistical challenge and your local chapter is furiously hard at work organizing this event. In our last meeting, I was informally designated to the be the Las Vegas liaison and help stir up interest in the event as well as answer any questions those who are planning to attend may have.

Please use this thread to post any questions you may have regarding the event. Please use this thread, and this thread only, and do not PM me (my inbox is nearly full and I will most likely not get the message.) Also keep checking this first message and I will constantly update it with the most important facts and information that you will need to know.

Thanks and look forward to seeing you in Vegas baby!

Unofficial Proposed Host Hotel
We are still hard at work taking bids for the best host hotel for our event. Currently the front runner is the SouthPoint Hotel and Casino. This is still tentative and subject to change. This hotel was chosen for many reasons. Among them are:

1) Reasonable rates for the quality of the rooms and hotel
2) Off Strip location for easier access (especially for those travelling from SoCal
3) Plenty of parking with pre-arranged lot for our event
4) Plenty of convention area for group events
5) Lots of food and entertainment options (restaurants, food court, movie theater, bowling alley etc.)

Unofficial Schedule: Please note this is only a very preliminary schedule of events. This is not the official schedule. I am merely providing it to help provide a rough idea of events and times.

HPDE dates corrected.

HPDE dates corrected.

Hi

Thanks. I guess this is still a "Unofficial Schedule" as this is different from the one above. Not the HPDE thing, but other things.

It doesn't matter. I will be there and it will be kick a$$. I have spent about $3570 already and I have not moved an inch from home. But it will be worth it.

Regards

Sorry don't use the tentative dates in this thread. I tried to change the dates but for some reason it won't let me edit the original post. Go to www.nsxpo2010.com for all updated schedules.

So what time is the spearmint rhino room at?

Forgive me if this has been answered already.........
I just want to go to the banquet to meet all my "online friends". I'll be staying somewhere else, not participating in any other event, not joining NSXCA.....I just want to attend the banquet....Can I do this ? How much per person ?

Mike,

If you want to come you still have to register and pay $275 a person plus $40(one time only) if you haven't registered with NSXCA already or renewed it for this year.

This is an event that is not being parted out....whether you want to show up to one day of the event or all of it, you still have to pay the registration.

My understanding is that we are going to be at cars and coffee on saturday and that is an event that anyone can attend....but after that get together its back to being in the NSXCA organized stuff.

I hope you try to make it for the whole event if you can. However there is still fri night, sat night and sun for you to make it out in case if you have to work....so it would be still worth it to come in my opinion because most of the main stuff is towards the weekend...fri, sat, sun.

NSXPO is thurs-sun offcially and theres an optional Monday drive for people staying.

Hope that helps.

To the organizers of NSXPO. Are there going to be any guest speakers of notoriety this year?

Thank you.

Are you in charge of the Thursday Nightlife Eddie?

That I would leave up to Bryan or the guys at FXMD.....

I have to say the ladies there are way better looking than most of the ones in LA/OC.....from what I heard......

I would really appreciate an answer to my question aforementioned.

Thank you.

Wayne Newton....and if you are real lucky Hugh may channel Liberace...
