since i got my car back from the body shop, the turn signal has been blinking twice as fast. anyone know what's causing this?

i just went out and checked. the bulbs work fine.. they blink at the same rate as the arrows on the dash.coolnsx said:
I presume you must have had a turn signal bulb up front or in the rear that needed replacing. If the incorrect bulb type is used, your turn signals may blink quickly. I remember someone having this type of problem and the correct bulb corrected the problem.
Is it happening just on the right or left and not the other?
If so than look again, carefully. Observe the side working correctly and take inventory of all the bulbs that are functioning.
You'll probably find one of the bulbs on fast blinking side is not working. Less load, so the remaining ones are blinking faster.
It also could be the wrong type of bulb on the fast blinking side.
Some bulbs have the side pins that allow them to be inserted in Japanese vehicles, but base contact is different.
Hey, you paid them, take it back and have them straighten it out.
They should have checked it before it left.

nicholas421, my NSX does the same thing. The right side blinks quicker. If you resolved your situation what where your findings?

NSXpert01, when I get home today, I will try switching bulbs to see if the blinking rate of the lights switches sides.

Not so funny I have to admit...
My turn signals in the cab on the dash are showing they are blinking(FAST) but nothing on the front turn signals or the rear:frown:, and I checked the bulbs to ensure they are working....

Could be a bad flasher relay. It is under the dash on the left side of the steering column. Depending on the year of your car it will be in a specific location. Check the ETM for your model year.
