I alway turn off the traction control everytime I get in my car. By turn off the TCS everytime, would it cause any problem?

If you always turn it off, why don't you get <a href="http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/index_browse_part.cfm?focus=385"> this</a>

There was no need to start a new topic for this, when it was already under discussion here.

If you want to go even better, remove the panel behind the seat and unplug the two connectors from the TCS computer. Now, it's permanently off and the "TCS OFF" light on the dash doesn't light up either.

He is talking about the 2 top connectors going into the TCS unit. Again - if your NSX is a 91-94 the Smart TCS is so cool / cheap / easy to install I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want one.

If you want to see the 2 connectors and/or get a feel for the Smart TCS install click <a href="http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/download/smartTCS_install.pdf">here</a>

Does this work for all model years?

If someone never wants TCS on, unplugging the TCS computer is obviously the best solution.

SmartTCS is a great product for people who like to alternate between TCS on/off for various situations, such as on for street driving or off for an entire weekend at the track.

But it's pointless if you want TCS to always be off. Unplugging the TCS computer is free, doesn't require any installation, and the light on the dash doesn't come on.

Why don't you all unplug the connector of the TCS unit behind the drivers seat. It's much cheaper.

Just remember to re-connect it if and when you sell the car, or at a minimum, specify in writing that it is disconnected and you are not liable for anything that may occur as a result of its disconnection. Selling a car with a safety system disabled could be dangerous and it's possible that you could be held liable without such a disclaimer. I suppose it's even possible if you let anyone else drive your car.

I'm sure the lawyers among us can provide additional comment regarding this issue and how best to address it.

I side with ken on this one.I remember a post where the guy let his friend drive his NSX in a parking lot and there was an accident.the other guys lawyer said they would not pay because the NSX had race pedels and were the cause and the car was not streetable just due to the pedals. all I remember.and i have given my attorney a ride in my car and his two sentences were: wow this is awesome..and you better not get in an accident even if its not your fault because you have altered your srs with the aftermarket momo wheel and I live in a no fault state

It takes 30 seconds to plug/unplug it. If you are worried that you will forget to plug it back in some day, put a note on the cover of your folder of service records. What a society we live in!! Geez.

On the way back from Autocross yesterday, I realized I forgot to turn off the TCS while I was running... No wonder oversteer turned into understeer all the sudden and power seem to cut out here and there. doh

I'm unplugging mine today!
