Now if you had only answered MvM's original post, all the above could have been avoided---the heck with the manual--u were using the age old rule of thumb indicated by nsxtasy--if you ever get a car with the Northstar system you may find oil changes do not even closely approximate the age old rule of thumb
No --6 months would be the norm for SanDiego as it's not dusty there and no one drives short distances in CA....Now if you had only stated that or had where you lived in your profile!
