In my short time reading the posts here, I have mostly been looking to see if any of you have any suggestions for rubber, other than the stock Potenzas.
I'm not going to change the alignment, but I would like to maybe eek a few extra miles out of my tires...
Plus...It's a pain in the ass to have to order tires and wait a week or so to get them, so, having multiple choices might speed up the process.
I don't think it makes all that much difference, but, I have a 2000 NSXT.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated

The Tire Rack ships out tires the same day they're ordered, so they shouldn't take more than two days to arrive.

The OEM tires (Yokohama A022H and Bridgestone RE010) offer terrific, crisp handling because they are designed for the NSX (for specific corners of the NSX, in fact) and work with the NSX alignment. You can read more about them here. They're worth waiting a few days for.

Sluggo,

Also check out www.discounttiredirect.com. Ask for Bob in Wholesale. If you are an NAXCA member you get great prices (wholesale, I beleive). I ordered new fronts (15") and they were $132 ea plus $8 shipping. They arrived in 2 days. I am in NYS just above NJ. From the time I made the phone call, 4 days they were installed!

For a 2000 they will be a little more expensive, sicne they are different size. Make sure you ask for the "Wholesale" department.

HTH,
LarryB

But if you're going to do that, take $40 of your savings and use it to join the NSX Club of America whose member discount you are using. Besides, the NSX Club has a lot of activities (four major events a year in the Northeast Region alone) and it's worth the money anyway. Right, Larry?

Larry, discount tire direct doesn't have the Potenzas...
The tire rack has what I need in stock, and can get them to me in 1/3 the time my local Bridgestone dealer can...
I told the guy to order 2 sets last time I got them...
He shoulda listened...
Now he loses.
As for the club, I wish I had time for something else...
With the sat. nite cruises in my 64 Stingray, or, trying to finish my chopper...
I'm lucky to even get to DRIVE the NSX when the bosslady lets me.

Thanks again guys!

Yes we do have typically four events during each year. In addition we have numerous track events also. The next event is in New Hampshire, the weekend of Sept. 21st.

Opps, I forgot that DTD does not carry Bridgestones, only Yoko's!!

If you are interested in joining NSXCA you can go to www.nsxca.org, or private myself or Ken (nsxtasy).

Thanks,
LarryB
