I was talking to this guy at Honda dealer who was trying to sell me this S2k saying that s2k is better cuz it's just as fast and a lot newer than NSX. But anyway, I didn't listen to him on that but he was also mentioning something about throttle(body?) on pre 93 being bad. Also that Aircon units on early models would be just about to go. I didn't see anything about the throttle stuff on the FAQ so i'm asking here. Any idea? I'm still looking for that "Right" one to come along...

Q: How can you tell when a car salesman is lying to you?

A: Whenever you can see his lips moving.

he was also mentioning something about throttle(body?) on pre 93 being bad.

Nonsense.

Also that Aircon units on early models would be just about to go.

A/C units do occasionally fail but there's no specific time at which they do so. The NSX is no better or worse than any other car in this respect. Saying they are "just about to go" is nonsense.

The one part that seems to fail with time is the struts that hold up the engine hatch and trunk lid, which seem to fail after 5-6 years. But they're inexpensive to replace.

This is why car sales people have such bad reputations. 100% lies just to try and sell you a car he has on hand.

1. The S2000 is certainly not as fast as an NSX.

2. There is nothing wrong with the pre-'93 throttle bodies.

3. The only way he could know the A/C is "just about to go" is if he sabotaged it.

thanks for the clarification! S2000 felt like a real nice ride but certainly not as fast as any NSX not to mention the sound difference.
