Well, I think we can agree that there is no consensus on what is truth or fact. However, the post's I selected wasn't in reference to that. They were in reflections of your complacency of your perceived higher wisdom. You use the statement like “everyone else that matters” implying that some people don’t matter or are beneath you. You insult people by calling them “not bright” or “monkey brains”. You state that you can only have limited respect for people who don’t share the same beliefs as you. You won’t apologize.
Don’t you see, even if you are enlightened, you are very smug in that position. You feel superior to those because of your enlightenment and you are unabashed to show it and state it. You have no problems casting down on those who you feel are not enlightened. You have undertones in your speak that suggest that you and your chosen ones are more important than those that do not. Even if you are 100% correct and you do have the truth on your side, the manner in which you hold is the very definition of pride and you are guilty of one of the seven deadly sins. Look into pride some more and reflect in the mirror a little. If you truly understood the word of God, the bible, and your own religion, you would see what you are doing is the very reason God made it a deadly sin and the one said to which all other sins are born. He understood the negative consequences of someone in that frame of mind could have to twist and corrupt his words.
The opposite of pride is humility and meekness. Now go back and re-read your post and ask yourself is this the post of a person who displays humility? Look at your choice of words and intent. Do you think a person with humility would feel above apologizing? How about insulting or even pointing out one’s intelligence or lack of enlightenment? Christianity means, Christ-like, meaning to be like Christ. Look at the teachings of Christ and you will see that even when trying to save those people who condemned him, he always maintained humility. He even apologized for those who killed. “Forgive them Father. They know not what they do.” Yet you could not even forgive someone who disagreed with you. You have not been an example of humility and therefore guilty of pride and guilty of one of your own deadly sins. Let ye without sin, cast the first stone.
