Great race for Jenson. Damn you Alonso you douche for messing up Lewis. Both McLaren drivers are on my Fantasy F1 team and I could have really used those points if they had finished 2 & 3.
Jenson now has 26 points, Lewis has 22 points, and Kamui Kobayashi has six points! So Kobayashi san has more points than Michael Schumacher! Wow.Well the thing is it’s very difficult to understand what to do with the tyre. If you try and preserve it sometimes you make the situation worse as you are not carrying as much speed through a high-speed corner and then you get less downforce and you damage the tyre more so it is a very, very tricky situation to be in.
Meanwhile, Hamilton ran out of tires near the end of the race. Now that's a mess.Butt's tire management worked to his advantage again with a 19 lap stint. No drama, just results.
Funny how it fails before the race for Webber but not for Vettel.Red Bull left the power boost off the cars at the season opener in Australia and then had intermittent problems with it in Malaysia on Sebastian Vettel's car, while Mark Webber's failed altogether ahead of the race.
One sunny day in small airport Treviso near Venice Italy in 2007. my friend and me saw two guys coming out of Maserati. One of them was very familiar to me it was Michael Schumaher,I aproach to him and spoke few words about missing his racing(last year of racing 2006).We shake hands and he entered in airport.I was his fan and he drived for my favourite team for Scuderia. He was big, fast driver, 7 titles, many records...
Now I'm thinking what is he doing on track after last year fail.Maybe it would be better to him to tell people he got some problems whit healt and retired.I know car is not good but it was risk that didnt pay.He would be always great but...does he need this?:frown:
The toll of age and resulting deterioration of reflexes, judgment etc. make it tough, if not impossible to come back. Schumi is like Tiger Woods; they are both beyond their prime. So, although there will be flashes of brilliance and they will be a force to be reckoned with on occasion, their days in dominance are gone forever.Motor racing is a young man's sport even at club level, at F1 level after 35 I don't believe you would have the stamina to be at 100% for every session let alone the race. But would anybody else that Mercedes could readily pick up be quicker than Schumacher at the moment? Probably not, as the car is yet to be considered a front runner this year, indeed it seems further behind than last year! So Schumacher will continue this year, but I would be surprised to see him continue next year on his current form.
What happened in Massa's pit stop and what were the consequences? In all fairness, there were 55 pit stops so it was difficult to keep track of that much action. Very busy for everyone; racers, engineers, strategists, pit crews and TV directors...... I was disappointed in Speed's coverage; they totally missed Massa's botched pit stop. I guess there is a reason Bob Varsha is the "A" team announcer. I don't really think Hamilton or Alonso's penalty was warranted. .......Miner

So, how about a driver be allowed to use his front wing fence to cut one rear tire per race. It's a great weapon but kinda risky if you're RB and have a flexy front wing. And who would be better at using this weapon than Fred? Think I'll fire that off to Bernie right now.
Actually in Alonso's defence [and I'm no Alonso fan] this one can actually be attributed in some part to Hamilton! Now before you guys start getting apoplectic on me.......
During Alonso's passing attempt, he carried far more exit speed off the previous apex. A camera view from the rear of the passing attempt [not the Ferrari in-car camera] shown on local televsion here in Australia [One HD RPM programme] clearly shows that as Hamilton reached the outside extreme of his exit arc, he maintained steering angle a bit which meant his car continued in it's arc towards the middle of the track, something you would tend to do to align the car for the next corner, or to make it harder for your pursuer to pass . Not much mind, about 1m of movement towards the middle of the track. Not a lot, but enough that it meant Alonso mis-judged how much room he would have in sweeping around Hamilton's car, he was probably not helped by just how much extra speed he was carrying over Hamilton at that point. Finally, the Ferrari's mild understeer at that point didn't help any either!
Definetly a "racing incident" and most certainly not worthy of ANY penalty. Flame away
