The Debut of MikeC_587 Stunning Silver NSX

How much work is involved in making that front bumper work? estimated price? where did you get ther bumper? I want it! Car looks tight.

I don't know how much work was put into it in terms of hours. As far as price, it was all rolled up into one BIG bill. I bought the bumper from SOS.

I have always thought of Erick's car(Black one?) as one of my favourites and now to see MikeC's "Make that two !!!
Sweet lookin' cars guys,CONGRATS on a job well done.
That front bumper is off the hook,I can only imagine the amount of time spent on it to make it happen.
Good to see the Instrument Cluster rings and sideskirts LOL,I am amazed to how many people have these mods.

Stacy

Stacy, Thanks... I hope you don't mind that I had Mike Vu customize your side skirt to be more flush to the body panel.

Wow Mike, looks great. I might just have to take a trip down to SF and check this out in person. Maybe I might include that stop after my Disney Cruise trip next year in August. I was hoping I could buy your car after you were done with it but now it looks to be completely out of my budget:eek: You gotta love that Benjamin. I only wish he would visit me more often:tongue:

Thanks Chris... Can't wait until you come out. Look forward to seeing you, Noreen and your son. Maybe there will be an NSX meet when you arrive. Make me an offer, I can't refuse.

Congratulations Mike,

Simply stunning. I can feel the excitement of the completed project. MVdesign's work is just incredible, definitely worth every penny.

YAY!!!!

it's DONE!!!

mike let's do a mini coffee meet at starbucks.

Wow. Frickin' wow.

Every angle and piece blends...and doesn't make the car look like a Transformer. This is, perhaps, the most tasteful cosmetically mod'd NSX in this community (I dare say) and a nice tribute to the "less is more" addage.

Big congrats on a job well done. :thumbs up:

Octechgeek,

Any chance one of your other photo's has all 3 NSX side by side so that we can compare the 3 front ends?

regards, Paul

Jason... Thanks... Wish you were in town last week. My NSX is still at MV Designz as I am talking with a Transporter to bring my NSX home. It might be there for a week or two.

good job, looks very well fabricated

Thanks..

Wow.. I don't know about that... There certainly are a number of NSX's that have been tastefully modified that deserves that honor before mine. I will say this and I'm sure the others that have done a similar project like mine or done even more will say, when others appreciate what you have done, then that makes it all worth while.

Definately worth the wait.

Bring it to the Hooters meet on the 9th and I'll make the 2 1/2 hr drive down.

about time

love the type-r hood

My NSX is still in Southern California waiting for a Transporter to pick it up and bring it home. I do intend on making the Driving Ambition meet scheduled for the 23rd of June.

Hey Mike if you have transport issues. no worries

i can drive your SC'd NSX back up north. all i need are:

*a plane ticket to LA
*gas card
*$20 (in dolar bills) for the Gentlemen's club, Heard LA got really good ones

***Disclamer. not responsible for any seat stains***

Mike it looks great. What kind of lip is that? Looks like my Cantrell but with a more flush fit. I don't get that kind of fit with mine. Was wondering if yours is different? part of the bumper?

Guys,...I can't state enough, "every single piece on Mike's car is custom." Besides the factory panels, everything you see is all custom from ground up. That's why the things fit so damn well without gaps and imperfection.

MikeC,

Now you are making me want to do my front and rear end sooner than expected.

Hac, are you ready for your 02 conversion?

Wow.. I don't know about that...

Perhaps but since I don't own the car in question I don't have to be falsely modest. ;)

There are quite a few cars that are tastefully mod'd but not, ICBW, with this much modification, detail, and subtlety. I dig it, y0!

James,
Whenever you are willing to let go of your bumper let me know...i'm ready.

Congrats. Very tastefully done car   I particularly like the new modified front bumper and Stacy side skirts. Just curious to know what exactly was done to the side skirts to make them fitting flush? The inquiring mind wants to know

I was just about to agree to your requirements, but then I read the Disclaimer. Perhaps I should call Mita and talk to her about your extra curricular activities    Or is that all in your dreams

Like Graeme said its a custom lip. When I was looking at the aftermarket lips, they all seem to protrude from the bumper, which I did not like. So, I took what I like and ask Mike Vu to make a lip that would be flush to the bumper and this is what he came up with. Mike also used the same mold to produce a lip without the vents. Do a search on "asomr1" for a pic.

Get in line, cause Graeme's NSX is next.

man the pictures doesn't do this car justice! It's really is a work of art! Great job! Makes me want to get the old school flip up lights instead of doing a 02 conversion!

Thanks... My approach will save you money in the long run, provided you are a fan of the pop-up headlights and a fan of the 02+ bumper.

can you post pics from the front?

I don't think we took front or side shots, but we will put up what we have. Since my NSX is still at MV Designz, I have ask Hac (the photographer) to take the NSX out for a spin and to take more pics. Hopefully, he will have some time to do this soon.

As far as I know, the guys at MV Designz cut the rear opening in half, then re-molded it back together.

I do appreciate your comments, because I like my NSX too.
