Here's my 2 cents:
I hate soccer, or better, i really cant give a rats ass about it.
Holland is playing right now. Yes.. my country. Guess what i did? Well, i went to me business building and did some work. Just got back.
I really cant believe the hypocrisy of all those damn ducthies. I mean, whole year long they bitch about that damn holland, crap country this, shithole that, and then also the dutch royalty is always the party which has to be done with.
I fully agree, but you wont find me right now standing in a full orange suit shouting for a dutch victory (surname of our royal family is 'orange' hence the orange dickheads), and be proud of our nation.
The good thing is that the roads are empty and i managed to make another record in driving back from work. Its about a 30 minute drive, did it in 11 mins sharp. With the Civic Type R. Dont think the NSX could beat it.

Congrats to the Spanish soccer team! Well done. Poor Dutch team but they have to understand that soccer is not kong-fu, rugby or gaining as much yellow/red cards in a game. 
There's one team that even won against Spain, guess which?
I'm no big soccer fan either and agree with DutchBlackNsx that the best thing about it is having empty roads. The party will last some weeks and in parallelism to Cesar's statement (bread an games for the masses) Spain will soon come to the conclusion that even being soccer worldchampion some economic hardcore facts like an unemployment rate of about 20% is the other side of the having fun.

I was never into soccer and this year I got a little into it. Well I think that this thing really sucks. One thing that really sucks is that is the reff says he did not see it then its not counted WTF. So basically if you want you could buy a reff and have the odds to win in your favor. We have replays now and the tech to see what really happened so there is no reson for this reff not seeing what happen BS. Yeah this is a crappy sport and now I know why no one in the US likes it. I dont like sports but soccer really really really sucks.
I guess spain is happy to win because that is the only thing that are good at. And even then I think one of the reff was on there side so its not a true win to me. I just see them act like they fall every time they lost the ball and that stupid reff would stop the ball and give it to the cry baby's. No wonder its a girls sport because there is so much crying in this girly game.

Actually the match was very boring. Ok, my life is boring too so I watched it.
I guess the Dutches hoped for a shootout as Spain was playing better.
The Germany Uruguay match was great! One of the best of the World Cup IMHO. As for the Finals, it was interesting, starting of with the Karate kick to the chest by the Dutch...on well, I think Spain played better overall, would say their game got better as the tourney progresses, but I did want the dutch to win:frown:

I've to admit that I was voting for Spain.
Every match I was voting for one team and I would have lost a lot of money with bets as the 'other' team was always winning except for one match: Germany against Spain where I wanted Spain to win or better said Germany to loose.

Reality is that guys in this country don't DARE to play a contact sport such soccer, if you are a guy in the US in order to play a "MAN" sport, you need: HELMETS, PADS, PROTECTION, frequent stops, cup-holders -ups, wrong thread- ETC ......
Since most of man in this country are been dominated by women and they are completely feminized they are to scared of letting their inner-male pop out, also people are afraid to get kicked etc and get sued etc etc LOL

We have a base league and I'm playing for my squadron's team. Some of the teams we've played so far or that I've seen play, have some females that play tougher than some of the guys in my team. Of course, like half the guys in my team have never played before, and are still learning the game.
Today was the honouring of Oranje. Ofcourse I went :biggrin: Over 700.000 people came to Amsterdam for the honouring. There were ZERO arrest! Yes, Oranje may played a hard game in the finals, but the fans and supporters kept it clean!
