Is it possible to have a coupe style NSX converted to a Targa Top. Is this possible and would it be functional.

Anything is possible. There has even been NSXs converted to convertibles with a rag top. But I personally, and I think almost everyone on this board will agree, is that it might be better just trading ur coupe in for a targa. Chopping the top off a coupe in essence is chopping up its resale value as well. Getting a factory NSX-T is just safer too in my opinion.

In my opinion, I like the coupe better. There is definately a difference in body stiffness when comparing my '96 to the '91 I used to have. It's real obvious with the top off. Wanna trade??

Converting a coupe into a targa also affect the structural integrity of the car. Targa cars are heavier then coupe because Honda had to reinforce the structure to make up for a lack of a contiunous roof... So it's not a very good idea to chop the roof off a coupe and make it a targa...

Option2,

LOL, I wish you were serious! :^)

I always wanted to know how it felt to drive an NSX with the top off. That "open-airness" must feel amazing!(My NSX is a 94....I was looking for a 95-T, but couldn't pass on the one I currently own!)

If you ever get tired of the targa, give me a call! LOL -Thomas
