Synth19 Imola Orange NSX Build

Man I love the pearl in the sunlight I cant wait to see the one I am building look like that. holy cow
I think Imola is the hardest color to describe to someone and pictures do not capture it properly. Though synth19's come close. To some it isn't Orange at all and ranges from Gold to Copper. Many (including my local Acura Dealer initially) think it's a custom paint job. I've been to car shows and had a judge look at my car under a cloudy sky only to come back when the sun came out because, as he said, "it is a different car in the sunshine". It's the most unique color I've ever seen. synth19 your car is awesome. Good work. And Shawn I can't wait to see your project completed.

Some new additions for 2014. I'll be going back and forth with spoilers this year. I think I'm going to put the R spoiler on semi-retirement for this season and go back and forth with this new J's Racing wing I picked up and OEM. Picked this up used, just need to get it re-cleared and I'll paint the bases black as well. Anyone know where I can get replacement J's racing stickers?

Also, New Advan RG3's in Hyper Black also on order (17/18)

Awesome!! Can't wait to see the OEM spoiler back on... and the J's racing as well.

I vote for leaving off the side decals on the J's racing carbon spoiler... but I'm just anti-decals.

Advans are going to look amazing as well!! Can't wait to see pics.

Update.... Wing and new wheels are on.

Specs on wheels/tires:

Wheels: Advan RG III in 17x8 +38 and 18x10 +35. I have a 3mm spacer up front, so that makes my fronts +35 The finish is "hyper black." It's in between a silver and black chrome type look. Very similar to the finish I have on my Model 5's.

Tires: Falken Azenis RT-615K 215/40 and 265/35

I know you are the wheel whore so wanted to ask, do you find the 215/40/18 a good fitment? I've been running 215/35/18's up front. What is a better setup?

Nevermind, just noticed you are doing a 18/17 fitment...haha

I believe I remember you on the my350z forum as well. Great build. I too sold my 2007 Nismo 350Z for a NSX.

Thanks...that's an aggressive setup with the spacers! love it...

So many little things make a big difference. It must be the tire brand because I cannot run 18x8 +30 with Falken 453's. But as you can see above, I was able to do it with Falken 452's So weird. The current setup I have is 18x8 +35 and it barely works with 453's (but works). Anything more aggressive on the tire would rub.
