Just reviewing some info on Comptech's web site and noted this ....
http://www.comptechusa.com/instructions/ins054.pdf

Read the install area for the front sway bars especially if you are using the rearward mounting holes: "... swap links from driver's side to the passengers side and mount them to the front lower control arms from the back side. This is to insure that the drop links are as vertical as possible for best performance."

Does this also explain why my passenger side link mounted normally touched the Bilstein dampners set on the lower perch? My sway bars are set at the middle hole.

I had about 1/4 inch room on each side between the link and the Bilstein dampner and as the sway bar moved during track driving it may have caused the rubbing? The original 2 clips per sway bar provided by Comptech were not enough; since then I installed two more (one on each side of the bushing)and will check if they moved again ....... but I also bought special clips from Al Terpack to further secure the sway bar further.

Should I swap the links too? Have any of you noticed this phenom .....? With or without lowering the car?

I have Bilstein shocks/Comptech springs (on upper perch), and my Comptech sway bars set to middle position, hit my Bilsteins.

They did not in the beginning, or at least I never noticed. But, after 50-60 hard track laps they made a h... of a noise.

I have no clips yet to secure the bar.

My garage told me the bar wouldn't touch the shocks if I used hard or soft setting (just middle)

I'm driving on "hard" setting right now, and this problem is definately gone. (never tried "soft" myself...)

Trond.
