Super XM Radio Deal

XM won't honor the free home kit rebate.

I was just informed that I don't qualify for the free home kit because I purchsed the roady as a promotion with 3 months of service and promotions can't be combined. Did anyone else run into this?

I didn't remember seeing this stipulation on the web site, but i'll look again.

Mike,

You may need to cajole them a bit.

Before you do, you might want to read some of the posts in this topic. Sorry it's so lengthy, but you'll find that some folks were able to get the home kit after some haggling.

Come to think of it - I still need to find out what's up with mine...

I've received 1 of the home kits so far... received a card saying my second XM Roady purchase was "not qualified" for the promo.

2) FM transmitter vs. cassette deck -- is the latter THAT much better, or is the difference negligible enough to just go with the more "flexible" solution ?? Like most folks, the NSX is my only car with a tape deck.
Finally got around to testing the cassette interface, and IMO its a LOT better than using the FM radio interface. Less noise, and no "fiddling" (seeking for an available FM frequency) necessary -- almost makes me wish I had a tape deck in my other cars.
