When I was at the press day for the NAIAS about 10 days ago, I met up with a gentleman from Caddilac when I was looking at the XLR. We chatted for a bit, and he asked me what my favorite car of the show was. I told him I like the XLR, but the HSC really has my heart, and that I love the 04 NSX they had there too. He said, and I quote, "Well, they better fix the reliability and quality, or no one will buy it. The NSX is made like crap. It shakes and rattles, and is just poorly made." I said "If you think so." and walked away.

So GM makes quality products and Honda has quality problems we should watch out for, huh? We'll don't I feel stupid for having that backwards all these years. Let me go get a pen right quick and write that down so I don't get confused next time I ride in my trouble free 10 year old Honda.

I knew GM couldn't make cars, I didn't know they were jerks too.

This guy was waaaay uncool after I didn't say I like his Caddy. I've met others from GM who were cool, but this guy was an ass with vocal chords. He was nice when I was saying i like the XLR and the CTS-V, but God forbid I should like an import. I didn't disrespect him, I just walked away before I changed my mind.

If you are talking to someone who should be press, I would think you should be a little more positive than he was, even if it wasn't his product. At least he could have told the truth and siad something like "I'm not too familiar with those cars. I'll have to take a look at them later."

Well I would like to compare my 13 year old NSX to a 13 year old vette and see which one shakes and rattles more. :D

Wow, F... amazing!

Compare a 13 year old NSX to a new Vette. I drove a 2000 vette hard top before I bought my 2000 NSX-T. I couldn't believe how poorly made the car was and how cheap the interior was. I will admit I did like the sound of the V8 but that was about it. I suspect this guy has never been inside (much less driven) an NSX.

Hey POET,

He probably thought you we're referring to a Ford NSX and Chrysler HSC...lol

:D :D :D

Unfortunatly I think its called DENIAL!!! I think most US Car manufacturers are in denial, and as long as they are, they wont WAKE UP and make a decent car.

Give me a brake GM . I remember when I use to have a camaro and it use to brake down all the time it was costing me more to fix than to pay rent. I remember thinking I might as well by my dream car and make payments on it insted of fixing this crap every month so I got my NSX for my birth day (I played for it) . Believe me it was cheaper to have a NSX that works than a Camaro that brakes down and looks like SH*T...

P.S.

It use to make all kinds of funny noise to and my NSX never made no noise just killer sound out of my engine..

I have to agree with the quality of the NSX -vs- ALL domestic cars. My first experiance with an Acura was back in 1993. Looking for a family car I tested a number of used and new cars. It came down to a new Intreped or an '89 4-door Acura Ledgend. Bottom line... though the price was about the same, teh 4-year old Ledgend was a solid car as compared to the new Intreped. The quaility of the Ledgend was far superior to the plastic, hard rattling of the Intreped. Unfortunately after 240,000 miles, I was involved in a head-on collision with the Ledgend and had to scrap it. My replacement, a 1993 2-door ledgend coop which I still have. But I am sold on the Acura (Honda) product. Bought a 1997 NSX 4 years ago and just love it! Hope to pick up an MDX this year for my wife. Say all that you want about my rice burners....but I wouldn't trade them for anything else on the market!!!

Why didnt you try educate and enlighten him instead of just walking away. Maybe he had the car confused with something else, or just didnt know the facts about the car. Then he might actually look up some info about the car and change his opinion. Now he'll just remain uneducated about the car.

Now if he was just being a jerk, then there's no excuse for him.

Nobody is talking about arguing, and I dont think Poet_X mentioned it either. I do agree, there is no point arguing with a retard.
