So I was at NAIAS 06 for press days (many pics, with a link to 500+)

Did they have the Bugatti Veyron? That car is starting to grow on me and I really want to see one in person.

Sadly no. I too wish to see one in person.

If you are hinking of buying one, I will happily travel to their studio to , um, test drive one with you.

;)

For an under $300 camera, that takes nice pics. My kodak dc290 doesn't do that justice and I spent $500 on that waaaaay back in the day. Or it just could be I don't have it set up right, I'm too impatient to learn how to use it properly. For that, did you just break it out of the box and start shooting?

I made a few small adjustments, but basically yes. I don't mess with fstops or exposure or aperatures(?sp)...

I'll be here saturday (tomorrow)

anyone else going?

i was going to make it, but it looks like I just don't have the time to make it to the public show this year. If my stepson really wants to go, I may be down next weekend, but it looks doubtfull at this point.

I think the G35 concept is stunning. I could see myself in one of those.

The Miura is OK, but looks out of place next to the murci and gallardo. They should not build it.

I love the IS350 but I find it just too expensive (loaded over $45K). I would rather have the GS300 for the same money. Guess I am getting old.

It would sure look great next to the Carrera GT :)

The FXX wasn't there... :(:(

it was one of my main motivations for driving 190 miles to see the show.

I talked to the (very hot) Ferrari girl and she told me it was a customer's car there only for the press week... boo.

pretty nice show, wasn't as good as 2 years ago when i went... but that was the show where they released the HSC and the Ford GT and all that jazz, where i saw a GT Prototype on the highway.

still was nice show... they have the blue Lexus sitting out for people to sit in. That car is amazing. I'd take it over just about any other 4 door on the road. No lie. Also, realized how much I love Mini's... fits me like a glove.

got some crappy cameraphone pics, maybe i'll post if they're not too blurry

oh, one observation from the show.

the Z06 is still a chevy. amazing machine?.... ABSOLUTELY...... but.....

but the body panels on that thing were horrible. the interior was still low quality, around the front of the car where i examined it closely, one panel stuck out about 2-3mm by the headlight. It was just poor quality and i sooooo want to love this car.

I wish someone with good fit/finish built this package and it'd be the ultimate car. Sadly, this isn't so.

I, too, was also disappointed that the FXX was not there, but I think the show was pretty good overall. Still don't like the Camaro, but I DO like the Challenger. Anyone have pictures of the TSX-S concept they had? I took pictures, but they didn't turn out :(

You and I are really on the same wavelength. I am in awe of that Lexus. I used to think I'd like an M3 as a daily driver, but I now think that I'd rather have that Lexus, even if it isn't quite the performer the M3 is, and I'm really considering a Mini as a daily driver also.
