Hi All,
I thought this would be interesting for some of us NSX enthusiasts. There was an old gaming system called the SEGA Master System. The game is called Special Criminal Investigation, in which you are driving a Nissan 300ZX, on roads which contain 911s and NSXs. Here is a screenshot of the red Z and the white NSX.

Anyone ever play this game? I just started playing it on my PocketPC, and it's pretty cool to see a whole bunch of NSXs on my small color screen... although the most unrealistic thing about it is that the 300ZTT is zooming past them ;-)

Wait a minute. First of all, the SEGA Master System came out in what? I know for a fact it was around 1986. The Sega Genesis was released in 1989. The NSX was released in 1991. Are you sure the ORIGINAL had the NSX in it?

Hey BTW, where u get the game for your PDA? Is it free? Does it work with Windows CE?

Here is a screen shot of the title of the game. It says that the game was created in 1992, so I am pretty sure that the original game had the NSX.

If you play the game, you will be absolutely sure that they are NSXs. Yes, I have the game on my Cassiopeia. You need an emulator to make it work with Windows CE (now called PocketPC). Check out PocketPCcity.com and do some searches. Disclaimer is that downloading is illegal unless you have the original game.

Hi,

I also came across a couple of NSX's in some arcade games that I play. The first one is from an old Sega game called Outrunners, and the other one is from a Taito game called Silent Dragon. These screenshots were taken by using an arcade emulator. Enjoy!

Good finds whs520! I never played any of those games, but now I want to find those. Are they for a particular console, such as Game Gear?
Thanks,
J.

Hi again,

Those pics are from the actual arcade games (notice the "INSERT COIN" phrase on the screenshots), not the console versions (I never really got into console game ports/conversions- they just weren't similar enough to the arcade versions).

Anyways, to play these true arcade games on your computer, you need 1. an emulator and 2. the game ROMs (the ROM data from the arcade PCB).
For Outrunners, I use an emulator called Modeler, and for Silent Dragon, I use an emulator called MAME.

Go to <a href="http://www.impactemu.com">impactemu.com</a> for the Modeler emulator, and <a href="http://www.mame.net">mame.net</a> for the MAME emulator. Get the game ROMs from either <a href="http://www.aceroms.com">aceroms.com</a> or <a href="http://www.mame.dk">mame.dk</a>

By the way, if you want to play the actual arcade version of "SCI," you can use MAME. Hope I answered your question :^)
