Hello,

I know that this topic has been covered many times, but I would like to ask your opinion in regard to a specific color.

Would you prefer Sebring Silver with the matching Silver Top or OEM Black Top (even if you do not own Sebring Silver)?

I prefer the black top on sebring silver. I have no plans of painting mine.

On other colors, a color-matched top may be the better way to go, but with Silver I feel the black is a great contrast. YMMV.

Is everyone allowed to vote here, or just the sebring folks?

I think it looks better with the top black.

Yes, please. Everyone should please chime in.

Hi

I am not sure what I like best. I love my NSX. And I have not seen a silver with black roof in real life. I think it looks really nice with both painted and black roof.

Here are some pictures that Giuseppe took when he owned the NSX that I have now.

The picture how it looked before it was painted is gone from that thread, but here it is.

Hope it helps you decide. What is also importent is to lower the NSX and get some spacers or someting to get rid of the "gap" and maybe add some WingsWest. I think it looks a little "dull" in the before picture below.

I have added one picture I have taken. I think it looks really good with the roof painted. But things have been done with the car since the first picture.

Regards

that black roof looks just old! its makes a car that has ancient technology appear very old. If i wanted a vintage car i would have bought something from the 70's.... Paint the roof and blend in with the ferrari's, porsche's and lambo's. They dont have black roofs....

What rims is it on the first picture? I need some new rims after I saw Gheba this summer with his 18/19.

The first and the second picture of my post have the same rims: Enkei RPM2, very light and strong.

Hi

Thanks.. looked gunsmoked on the first one. I see now that they are the same.

What size are they?

Regards

The wheels in the first picture and second picture are the same (I'm pretty sure). Enkei RPM2. They are cast, but lightweight. 17lbs for 17" and 21lbs for 18". Build quality appears to be high.

Largest size they come in is 18x9. Some NSX owners have them in a 17x7 and 18x9 set up (this is what I plan on putting on my red NSX). I've only seen these on a 91 and 93 NSX and the spokes on the inner part of the front wheel sit very, very close to the brake caliper. They fit, but its close (like a few mm). My friend Ariel (the second car in the post) has these in a 17x7 F and 17x9 R setup and its close on the front (lots of space on the rear).

I too agree with black roof even though that does date the car.

However, based on the first pic with the Type R wing in black and the splitter in the front, if that is your current status (as opposed to the second pic), then I would also make the side air vents black too to give it a more modern and racing look. In fact, see the picture of awsomr1 in this thread, post #217: http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?p=401857#post401857

although the first NSXs introduced in 91 offered silver/red/white with black top and a choice of black/biege interior. After a decade, silver/black top is still my choice. I am having mine grandprix white/black top changing to pearl white/black top after a minor accident. I did not have to think twice re keeping the black top. Its not vintage, I am just keeping that NSX spirit.

Silver with black top is "Classic"... I'm keeping mine that way...
