How's this for a post-wh0re idea? Say something nice about another NSXprime member.

This sort of thing can really encourage and have a positive effect on you. Maybe pick someone who hasn't been mentioned so we can share the love around. :D I have a feeling this thread might grow longer than the Samarui thread or the World's longest/crappest thread. :D

ok. i'll start:

There are so many of you guys i could say nice things about, but I'll pick out an unobvious member for me: NSXJOY. When I was going through a really rough patch last year, he kindly sent me some very comforting PM messages that really helped me out. He didn't have too, and I've never forgotten his act of kindness. :) Thanks NSXJOY.

ok... who's next. ;)

I may be off a bit but I believe that a while back, I was going through some really rough problems with my girlfriend and a problem she was having and a few members started PM'ing me and IM'ing me to help me out.

92NSX was one of them and he helped me out alot by talking with me.

There was another member who's username I can't remember but I know his AIM name was MeaCulpa and he helped me out alot too.

Two really cool guys who had no problem taking some time out to help a stranger.

Also, all the guys local to me that I've met are really cool! MiamiNeSeX, DocL, Hugh, and a few others, spyderman, SoFlaNSX (which is MY username on S2ki!!! hehe)

Pixelhaus - James met me over the weekend to sell some parts, took me and my buddy out for drinks near hartford and had a great time! I'll be coming down to return the favor soon! :D

I have always rec'd great feedback from LarryB, KGP, 2slow2speed, and Andrie. If I'm not having a 'net fight with nsxtasy, I get great info from him as well.

All in all, I think this community is the best out there. And no, I'm not condoning some sort group hug either. ;)

Larry Bastanza is the Man

My recently installed “Spec clutch” was slipping and I was unable to get any additional adjustment. The lock nut had too much pressure and I was not able to back it off, a real enigma for me. Larry’s lent some “good will” advice that was right on. Admittedly I am not the most mechanically inclined Individual, Larry walked me through the process and I was able to make the correct adjustment. Since then and on several occasions, Larry has continued to offer me guidance and encouragement.

I have read different threads were fellow NSX owners where having mechanical problems. I’ve noticed that Larry is always quick to offer solid advice and has a distinguished disposition. I feel that Larry is a real GO TO GUY when it comes to any mechanical issues and I truly appreciate his courtesy in helping me. I feel that his eagerness, willingness and ability to help fellow NSX owners should be acknowledged.

Thanks again Larry!

:D

Dutchblacknsx - He's a very cool guy that I am happy to have meet personally! He helped me several times with his mechanical and electronic knowledges, he helped me in my mesh engine cover project and he helped me to find some parts I was looking for ! Thank you very much Mich !

Briank and DanO's posts are always helpful and friendly. All you guys with advanced mechanical skills who donate their time and knowledge to us "shadetree" mechanics are awesome in my book!

I AGREEEE!! THANKS BRIAN

I would have to say "NSXTASY" he is one of the most knowledgeable people I know and seems to alway be willing to help whenever possible. And he also goes above and beyond outside of prime with all of the NSX related functions.

Keep it up Ken!

I agree.

Thanks Ken!

I agree with all the above and must add that our NE group has a great core group of folks that will really help each other and despite our busy individual lives still keep in touch.I also like the friendlyness and comraderie of the track rats, always willing to help and share!:) I'm sure most of the regional sections have similar cohesivness.

Seth and BlackCat recently helped me out in a pinch, with nothing in it for them. Kudos to them. I also agree with the statements about Brian, Dano, LarryB...on and on. Plently of good people around here that lend a helpful hand. Even small things get overlooked or forgotten: How about Randy with all the wallpaper calanders he has done for us... ;)

I is he, he is I...

hmmm...

MeaCulpa543 = Osiris_x11

Osiris_x11 = MeaCulpa543

No problem'o Brian... I'm just sincerely happy that all is well w/ you in your life, peace-power-prayer. . . :)

Amongst the awesome Texas cohort of NSX'rs there's one individual who has just been a great friend:
OJAS.

Nearing one year as a poster on 'Prime, and 7yrs as a lurker... still haven't been dealt the infamous "use the Search". . . (knock on wood) ;)

BTW, this whole community rocks! :D

I can say nice things about A LOT of the members here on Prime. I'm surprised, too, since I'm a fairly new member. Everyone I've met, whether in person, on the phone or just online has been really great. A couple that I know in person are Calvin (Poohbear) and Kevin (NemesisX). There are a few members that I talk on the phone or chat with regularly and these are PJ (FifthEarth), Erick (ErickGS3?), Bailey (AcuraNSXPilot), and Umar (Osiris). I've also gotten some nice PM's from a few people such as:

NSX_Dreamer: He helped make me feel better about my bad day.

2slow2speed: Sent me an informative and helpful PM about my puppy when he was sick.

There are numerous others and I don't mean to leave anyone out, but the bottom line is that just about everyone I've encountered on Prime so far has been great. :)

Uh - how about Lud, who created and maintains this place! From my search for my car, and closing in on 3 years of ownership the information contained here has been invaluable. All thanks to Lud!

NCC-1701D - Cool Dude Eddie

NCC-1701D - Eddie has been a great bud from the day he first spotted my car in Edmonton a few months ago!
First thing he did was lend me his stock wheels and new tyres and told me to use them until I wore out the tread!
Now thats special!
He gets me out of the house out to Earl's Tin Palace for a drink and some food atleast twice a week and always pulls out his visa before my mastercard can hit the table.
The best thing is we have fun argueing about what to do with the nsx's and what girl is best for the other guy!
Thanks Eddie!

DREW

I sold him my uninstalled used CTSC that never did have all the parts that MB said it would have, and waited many weeks for me to try and get everything from AZ. He was a complete gentleman and very patient, and for that along with all the insight he adds to the board, and I am sure the great work he does for the LAPD, he deserves many public kudos.:D

D'Ecosse

He has been very helpful with advice and how to's on my goal of upgrading the sound system in my car.
One morning few weeks ago he walked me through some wiring issues after he had been up all night watching a football match.
I have noticed that he has been very giving with his knowledge and experience to a lot of new owners that aren't happy with the stock setup.
Tks Ken

I say thanks to Neo for his cool avatars and off the wall links. Also, thanks to John (Anytime) for moderating, as well as the others who spend their time poring through all of our posts (braht8, KGP, etc...) And a big gracias to Lud, for letting us all indulge our inner poets here on Prime.

And no thanks to Poohbear, who bought another NSX instead of mine (sour grapes!!) :D

I just think that one of the coolest guys in NSXPrime is Jon Martin.
He really knows his stuff and I have no problem trusting him with my car. :D

ffffanman is great...First person from Prime that I get to go driving with and dine out with...I finally get to experience what other Prime members feel when a group of NSXs drive by people...We relax for a few hours a week to take my mind off stress from computers and women ..only to complicate things by looking at other women...It's great to be with people that fight over who pays the bill rather than fight with people for them to pay their share....

hchan - for being so patient over a $6 USD money order that just didn't want to be in his hands..

winreboot - for selling me spacers to make my wheels look so good again after I lowered my car...

matteni - for sending the climate board so quickly and then actually honoring the refund agreement..never really expected it but that shows the integrity and honor of Prime members..

Racerxjling - for being patient and answering all my question on the comptech exhuast. And then making a smooth transaction and keeping me well informed on his sale of the sway bars..

furyNSX - all those great monthly calendar pics...must appreciate his hard work and time

Lud and all admistrators - for keeping this free site great. Without Prime I wouldn't have been able to purchase parts, learn lots from FAQ and other Prime members, and a community that is second to none..

MsKadyB - for that hot avatar pic...

many, many

KGB really came out of nowhere to help me out. i purchased a battery from another member and never received it (long story). he obviously didn't need to do anything at all, but he went even beyond a kind gesture and GAVE me a battery and a mount dirt cheap. he even went as far as shipping it to me right away! i still am in awe about the generosity.

Joel, it was my pleasure to take you guys out for beers! i'm just sorry that this town sucks so badly that we couldn't find anywhere to feed you guys!
the information and conversation you guys provided more than covered the beers. you guys are great people. we'll do it again at nsxpo.

larry b. took almost an entire day checking my car out a while ago. didn't expect a penny. great guy.

chris and seth are always so helpful, even when i have the most stupid questions.

Mechanics Direct Modifiers - they must have spent an hour on the phone torubleshooting with me. without any sense of rushing me off of the phone.

Mark Basch - considering how busy he is, i was extremely thankful for the knowledge that he offered during our many phone calls.

i'm leaving some important people out. unintentionally of course.

i'd have to say from my experience, most members deserve kudos than not. this is one of the better forums. let's keep it that way.
