They aren't real "Hot" this time of year. I am selling mine and I have had to 2 Nigerians offer to buy it. Mine has waranty and only 4400 miles on it.
HERE IT IS

2 Nigerians??

make sure you make the sale in person buddy :) and with some kind of certified money exchange.

Don't want some guy from "Nigeria, who will give you $28,000 for it, and you send him a check for $3500 and the car"... and then the check is fake, and he has your 3500 bucks and has already chopped your car. my point is, be careful. just like there are scams on autotrader for selling a car, they also have scams to target real sellers. just be careful :)

Why are people selling them after only 2-3 years of driving? Are a lot coming off lease? If I had an S2000, I'd imagine keeping it for years. Are they not as fun as they sound? Too many of them out there? Civic Si putting a cramp in sales? My wife has a '99 Miata 10th Anniversary, and I'd consider (maybe she wouldn't) upgrading to an S2000 for a couple grand.

I am selling mine because it is my second S2K and my wife and I have 3 cars, 1 truck and an airplane. She doesn't want to drive the S2K, she likes auto trans. My golf clubs are dusty. Not enough time for everything. The NSX-T is our car of choice right now.

That is just what they wanted me to do. I jacked with them and told them I was sooooo happy about our deal and I would gladly send them the difference in cash if they wanted me to. Then after a few back and forth e-mails I wrote Yahoo and gave them their e-mail addresses.

haha yea,

when i was selling my VAIO on craigslist, i learned fast after getting two/three emails a day with outrageous requests.... like... "I'm in Egypt but buying this for my pastor in England, I'll give you my fedex # and a check for $some outrageous amount, etc.etc... " good job on reporting them, stupid scammers need to be shot or get cancer or somethting

trust your instincts :-p

there's a link on there to the neo-nazi rally...

my roommate JUST left to go shoot it for a photostory.

haha, ok, thread highjack over, lol

A mechanic at another ACURA dealership just traded in a 2001 S2000 in Spa Yellow with 25k on it. Anyone want it for $18,499? It was an SRT-4 trade in that was a previous certified honda a year ago. Seems like a nice car with no mods, some paintwork but overall a nice, cheap driver:wink:
I might be interested in that S2K, but I still have one slight problem????????

I had mine for four years before I sold it and I LOVED it. I already miss it. :(

I only sold it to buy an NSX, and I'll have one again when I have room for two impractical cars.

We sold our 00 in late 04 for 17.5,good shape all tsb's done about 32k miles.I think at these prices it is a very good buy,as long as the motor has not been abused.i.e reglar oil changes and no overrevs.I had a lot of fun with the car and it has been freshened nicely over the years.

A couple grand to upgrade to an S2K? Tax, registration, and other costs included? Just how much do think your wife's 10AE will fetch on the open market? It must have incredibly low mileage and/or you're looking at crashed and still unfixed S2K. ;)

People sell their S2K's for many reasons. It's a great car but there are many other great cars out there, and they sell to purchase something perceived as a better match, including newer S2K's.

Those of you who have owned one: How reliable/durable is the engine/tranny/diff? I keep bebating between a gutted/caged s2k or a e36 as my track car. It just seems that the e36 motor would be more durable.
