S2000 Gauge Cluster

I been doing a lot of reading and asking questions on other forums, i must say if you can read colors and match them this is a easy job. I might just do one sometime for fun and sell it with a plug and play harness.

couple weapons of choice!

you can make one converter box for everything! instead of paying 250 for each. And maybe i'll add a touch and make it so i can toggle the miles and make it read boost, oil, whatever i want! how you like them apples! I can add a small lcd maybe a 3 liner make s2k cluster with built in GPS and gather track info, MPH, lap, time etc etc...

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! ALL FOR BASICALLY 2/8 OF THE PRICE of any top notch stack or aftermarket unit!!!

but, let me get serious for a bit. Like i been saying over and over i'm sure you guys have heard it, but i'm broke and who knows when i can continue to make custom stuff when i can barely fix my car and can't even afford a clutch. no work for me for the past 1.5 years.

Is anyone interested in making a harness that can use a S2k AP2 (or even AP1) cluster? If so, please contact me regarding pricing. I would love to fit this in (however, I would not want to hack up the dash to do so).

I currently have a scangauge (in my 95) that is able to read a ton of info from the ODB2 port. Any thoughts on getting the info from there instead of the main dash?

Thanks in advance!
Bill

I did it for my integra with dual harness so I can easily switch back and forth from my ITR cluster and the AP2 cluster.
I used a dry carbon sheet to fill in the space.
It came out pretty nice, and the redline flashes when I hit 8,000 rpms

that looks great!
if i was doing a full interior on the x this would be on the list. reminds me my bikes dash.

erick are you offering any service to be able to hook up the s2k cluster into our nsxs? i have a ap1 cluster that i have had for a while and would love to be able to put it in my car :)

yeah im down do to a s2k conversion on the NSX.

i gotta remind you though, you'll lose the volt and oil pressure meter.

but you can live without those anyways, or get a dual or triple gauge pod for that. run some nice defi gauges or even AEM ones.

if you have the harness, it will make it a little easier for the conversion,
if not, thats ok.
i can make a new harness.

Heys erick thanks for the reply. I'm very interested and would love your sevices
I figured I'd leave my questions on the forum so you don't get bombed with the same ones
Over and over. :) so I do have my cluster...I do not however have the pig tails :(
I would need the speed converter. As much as plug and play or splice and play
As I could get. Will the gas gauge temp and the generic dummy lights work?
And everyone most important question...if I send you my cluster.. How much
$$ are we looking at. Did I mention how much I love you! Lol. (sad ploy
For some major ass kissing ).
Thanks again erick

I guess I don't understand the desire. Maybe you guys can help me out.

The S2K cluster and the S2K go together. The NSX is a classic, not a hip, modern wanna be.

I just don't get it.

so many questions...

well here goes.

i would need the car splice in the second harness.

but..... i have a spare NSX cluster that i could and maybe would sacrifice to make the plug n play a little more easy without needing your car physically to do this conversion. that way you can just remove and replace without any modifying. everything should work as well as the one i did for my integra.

give me some to pull apart this NSX cluster of mine to see if it usable.

if you're a lady, i'd be flattered by the comment. but if you're a dude, thats ok - just send me money.

The NSX has the most generic, boring gauge cluster known to mankind. Ok, maybe that's an exaggeration... but still... in my opinion the gauge cluster is the ugliest part of the car. There is nothing inspired or deliberate about the design... it looks like it belongs on a mid-90's Accord, not on the most amazing car Honda has ever produced. But each person is going to have a different idea about what it "should" look like. Which is why it'd be nice to have options like this...

I also looks like a 90-95 acura legend cluster

hey Bill,

look at what i found.
the left over circuit board from a NSX-R gauge cluster conversion.

i'll be using the 2 green female ends to build the AP1 to NA1 gauge cluster harness. plug n play will never be easier.

Don't let this post die! I already sent my clusters to erick for my plug and play
S2k cluster for my na1. Can't wait for erick to get started on it and back!

Wow! Talk about the grass being greener on the other side! I know a few people, myself included, who would like to have the NSX guages. As nice as the S2000 cluster is, it doesn't have oil pressure or voltage meter. Besides, sports cars are supposed to have guages:smile:

So, what are you guys doing with the clusters you're replacing?
