It's a sad day for all kids in America. No more Twinkies, Ho Ho's, Ring Dings, and CupCakes. My children will grow up never knowing that first sweet sensation of biting into a Twinkie for the first time. :frown:

I am in mourning............We had these at each table at our wedding..thats how much I loved hostess....

I'm willing to bet the recipes and assets will be bought out by another vendor.. maybe Little Debbie, Tastykake, etc...

Re-branding soon to come. Stay positive.

Considering that a twinkie has a half-life just short of the record held by Uranium I would expect that we will be able to find "fresh" ones decades from now......

Maybe the world will end in 2012 after all.

I'm going to the supermarket after work today and buying a few boxes of each. I'm going to vacuum seal them so my kids can enjoy the original flavor, not some copy.

My lips aquire stain my thoughts aquire speed it is by the cream of twinky that I set my mind in motion..... Most likely my scoliosis has something to do with a hostess product....but who cares that sh$t was tasty when i was 8

You fools don't see the potential here...

"officer I know I was doing a buck thirty in a school zone, but can you give me a break? Oh wait let me get this unopened Twinkie out of the way so I can get my registration for you"

I can't believe this was posted by a dentist!

This was employee strike related?

The company had warned employees that it would file a motion in U.S. Bankruptcy Court to unwind its business and sell assets if plant operations didn't return to normal levels by Thursday evening. The privately held company filed for Chapter 11 protection in January, its second trip through bankruptcy court in less than a decade.

Seriously? Your last job well done mr. and mrs. former Hostess employees.

I'm going to miss the chocolate cupcake, I've tried every knockoff under the sun and they're all horrible.

Major thanks to labor unions... 30% of the company put the other 70% out of a job.

Time to start hoarding those Ho Hos!

I have a friend from High School that started working at Hostess as a delivery driver and he has worked his way up to Vice President. I'm sure he is really disappointed with the union negotiations...but I'm sure he will get an awesome severance package.
