Repainting front bumper (not for the weak stomake :))

In the bodyshop.

Aston Martin DB2, Bentley S2, Ferrari 355.
Tomorrow he receives a F430 Spider and a Aston Martin DB5.

I'm going to rob a bank now...:D

I like the mesh and think you made the right choice to paint it black. Did you fabricate this yourself or buy it? If bought, where? I have the Dali Stone sheilds, but with the radiator sheild, it is located right in front of the radiator.

@Shaun: Thanks, will be updated as the car will be finished next week. I had a look at the painter's location today and he already painted the hood and the right fender. Looks good but finish is not finished. :)

The mesh is DIY, it's simple aluminium-mesh, painted black from the Do-it-yourself-shop here locally. I don't through money out of the window if I can do it myself. :D

Good job, very expensive and plenty of time went into it. I won't say more because there's nothing more to say.

Special thanks to Autolackprofis in Aesch ZH, esp. Mr. René Sahli, a Honda enthusiastic himself, for investing so much time, skills and experience into it and having very, very much patience with me (yes, I'm not an easy one).

Only one small story:
I always hated the H-Logo on the front bumper. So I cancelled it. Yesterday as I drove home, a boy was running around my car in slow traffic and caught a pic with his handycam (this never happened before that way :D). Ok, I felt like a monkey in the zoo. But the revenge will be mine if I imagine how his jaw drops if he finds out that it's only a Honda.:D

'Only a Honda': I never had great respect for Ferrari or their reliability or whatever, BUT yesterday there was a F40 at the bodyshop (sorry no pic but I think we know how it looks). WOW! JESUS! That car is (in plain letters!) DEAD-F*CKING-GORGEOUS, simply BAD-ASS! If I could afford it (I can't) it could fail every week and cost me plenty of money but it's simply a MUST-HAVE! I don't like the 355 or 360 but the F40 is PURE SEX if you see one in person.

Gold,
Glad you finally got your job finished. It looks real nice. It always feels good when the "ol' girl" gets put back together.
Drive careful and have fun with your "Honda" again.
Brad

Some more pics. Black and red rules! Still waiting for the black CE28N and the 02+ brakes.

The first pic shows the battery charger plug-in behind the number plate. Ready to go with the Odyssey. The others top-finish of the paint-job.

Todays' paints are made up of high solids. It may require a smaller gun tip to produce the desired color match. My painters usuallydo a spray-out first on a black and white checkered board, then cover it with a wet coat of clear to determine the correct match. Then they use their experience as to what tints to add or subtract. There are so many variables when color matching. That's why it's easier to blend to the adjoining panels.
