I'm considering doing this for my S Zero project, as I understand that rubber mat is rather heavy (about 10 lbs?) I know the real S Zero and NSX-R both delete this barrier at the factory, but for those who have done it on a US-spec NSX, how easy is it? While it looks like it just lifts off, how do you get it out from under the brake lines and throttle cable? Do you cut it?

My car is EU spec, but it Should be the same... see it here:

It was an easy job, just small cuts IIRC, and you have to remove bolts from ECU units
