Remove rear axles.

Bringing back up an old thread, just to help out the next person. If you do AT to MT conversation I would recommend to change the driver side axle to MT since it is shorter and safer not damaging the axle seal during install. I found out is very difficult to take out the AT driver side axle from the 5sp tranny b/c AT axle is longer and mine was rusted to hub. I ended up cutting the inboard boot off by the tranny so I can get it out in pieces. Remember the outboard by hub has a thin ring clip so you must take that off before the axle can come out in pieces, that’s if you have to take this side out but most likely not. My rusty axle was stuck in the hub but that 20-ton puller tool Kaz recommended saved the day and a lot of PB blaster, heat and 1000 ft/lbs impact gun to turn that 29mm nut on the puller tool. Make sure you put that axle nut back on first before using tool or you will mushroom axle thread and get a new nut after
