Hi
I am trying to find out if anyone has had any problems with relocating the power steering control box on their cars. I am asking this question for my boss. This is his second NSX its a 2001 NSXT.
(tryin to get in good with him :-D)
He just had a whole stereo stystem install in it and the installer relocated the power steering control box from under the dash to under the passenger seat.
His car now has no power steering. The dealer said that it just needed to be reset. That didnt work. The Dealer also called their tech support line and were told that if my boss had the car put back to stock they could help him out.
Have any of you encountered this kind of problem before.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Rob

It may not be an NSX but be nice to me please :)

This is the installer's problem. He should have fixed it before the car left his shop. He must have fabricated an extension cable, or extended the wiring by splicing in a cable, thereby creating who knows what kind of problem. It will be very fortunate if he didn't destroy the unit by miswiring the cable. A blown fuse, underdash #2 or #5, would be a good indication of miswiring, for starters.

I hope, at least, that it was a private shop and the installer could and would take his time. I have seen what the mass market electronic retailers can do to your pride and joy, and I refuse to let them touch my cars. That this installer did not fix the power steering does not give me a warm feeling for his ethics or competency.

Regards,

Bill
