Im looking to buy a older nsx with high miles....I know these things last forever and I'm just curous about how much a engine rebuilt would cost?

In other words - don't worry about it. You're asking the wrong questions.
When buying a high-mileage car, the right questions are more on the order of, "If I need a $2K clutch replacement or a $3K air conditioning repair, will I be able to afford it?"

I'm guessing he meant to say "don't last forever", if they did last forever why ask how much to rebuild.
If you are buying an nsx with say... 100K miles, then you shouldn't have to worry about an engine rebuild, but might be looking at the timing belt, water pump service.

you with this question. I just recently had my engine rebuilt due to a major malfunction of a FI system and have a receipt.
This price included $2025 in JE pistons/rings and rush order on those pistons(NOT OEM). The insurance company wouldn't pay for OEM pistons since they are about $1k each.

It's cheaper to find another NSX's engine as I did. ERZ and a few other NSX businesses have some every now and then.
$4,900 plus tax for one with 50,096 miles on it

Only problem with that is you don't know the history of the engine.

With the NSX, a leak-down and compression check, if done right, then I am willing to put the money forward. The car's build quality, including its engine is amazing.
